The paper backup is just a set of directions for Armory, telling it how to create the addresses in the wallet. Short of some catastrophic hardware failure or bug in Armory, it doesn't matter how often you restore the wallet, when you restore the wallet, which OS Armory is installed on, etc. The results will always be the same. I wouldn't bother with reinstalling the OS unless it's acting strange in other ways.

What could cause a wallet to loose its bitcoins if it has some?
Got a paperbackup of my wallet. Tried to restore it directly after I created it. That was before it was online.
But now it's online, and shouldn't matter, it should be the same?

I could try to restore it again, but I dont know if it's best to reinstall my computer and do this before I connect to internet. So I know that it's fresh.
In that case. could I make a backup of bitcoin blockchain, so I dont need to redownload it again.

Second option is to delete my wallet and restore it directly. Without reinstall windows. I havn't used that computer for anything other then gone online/update blockchan. And the only I used IE was to get to a page. Dont remember witch one, but it was a secure one for download an installation file. But I had msn as startpage (default). So that's the only web:ing I done.

So is it stupied to not reinstall windows? What do you think?

Remember, whenever you try a new wallet, place only a few milliBTC in it and test that you can spend them again.  Move a tiny amount back and forth until you know the program.  Delete your wallet with a tiny amount in it.  Restore from backup and verify that the money is still there.  Once you trust that it works reliable, dump your life savings in the program Smiley

You can check Armory's top reported block against BitcoinQt's top block or an online service like Blockchain.info

Then it's a matter of creating your wallet, making a backup and testing it.

Downloaded blockchain, synced, made a DB and it's online!

But do I need to confirm it with anything that I got my wallet. Or is it only to create and use my wallets now?
