Every political candidates will alwa give the usual promises once they are in pursuit of their ambition but things don't happen the way they expect at the long run because the people will always made complaints concerning their performance, they will also act less to expectations because they have many of those they owe an appreciation for contributing to their imminent success in politics, alot or funds meant for the nation building may be diverted to other sociocultural affairs among some particular set of people leaving others behind, the president may wish well hut those surrounding him will not just allow.

I'm sure there will be no complaints whatsoever or we may say complaints are ignored if the fruits of his promises came to real and their country improved because of him in the first 3 years of whoever president has been elected. but guess what? at that time, their true colors will be revealed and most probably they are just the same as the last one. Let's give this guy time to do his thing because after he got elected, he has all the rights to make his country bright and shut out all the causes of corruption, and become their first ever just leader elected by their people.

If you made a manifesto for a presidential candidate or any political portfolio and the eventually emerge into office, that does not guarantee they will remember you to favour you or not except you're just being lucky for them to still have you in mind, this is the same thing that goes with others, they will believe the new government is not giving attention to their demands whereas there are alot of people in demand, but if you want to please everyone, you may ended up displeasing everyone, it's better to do your best with being bias and leave the rest.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president elect engaged Nigerians with an 80-page manifesto which he titled “Renewed Hope”. I would be surprised if he has read his own manifesto. It took some time for that manifesto to be announced.
His campaign managers disowned several versions before they finally decided on the 88-page document.

Now here is the deal – in Nigeria, political manifestoes are written by a hired team who put out textbook ideas and tell the people what they want to hear which is why all the presidential manifestoes in the 2023 presidential election mouthed the same platitudes, an expression of the lack of clear ideological lines in contemporary Nigerian politics.
I want to ask you that I listen to the manifesto of President-elect according to you what the manifesto wrong or was it good because for you to make a content with a manifesto of President-elect let you have listened to It manifesto and no the place that is saying rubbish and the place that is right for It manifesto so what do you understand from the money first to eat manifesto absolutely wrong or not understandable
I haven't read the manifesto of the President-elect Asiwaju since I believe in his leadership style as a man that like buildings foot's soldiers,  so at that if he titled the documents as renewed hope,  then that is the best possible captions for that documents,  since in Nigeria today all hope is lost,  and the citizens don't have to believe on the government and the government have lost it legitimacy among it citizens and this is a bad situation that needs strong politicians who can actively be involved engage the citizens as to renew the hopes and trust for the system and that can only be achieved if there is a working system on the ground.

The president-elect has a lot of work at hand,  judging from the current situation of things with the economy and other aspects of governance in Nigeria today,  so I ain't trying to judge him despite that he has not been sworn in yet as President anything can change still.

Who cares about the political manifesto of African politicians? They cannot be held accountable for failure to abide by them by anybody or any institution. So they can include fantasies and blue elephant projects just to make the electorate feel good.

The current president of Nigeria promised to make the Naira strong until it becomes equal to the dollar. The Naira was about N170 when he became president now it is about N750. I have stopped listening to their political folktales and stories because they are all empty promises. Their ideology is to promote corruption and steal from the people. I have learned not to depend on these empty promises and focus on how to take care of myself and my family.

These come to accomplishment in a country where some group of person decides what happens and such countries you must be very influential to accomplish this, before you see Bola Tinubu as a person to come open and make such statement, there have been an agreement between him his party which is the ruling party of that country and the power that decide whoever becomes the president of the country so he has been assured so despite what you saw that played out it was just a deceit in other to prove neutrality to the people by the president,

It is condemnable for such statement to come out from the mouth of the then presidential candidate and now president elect, with this kind of statement we all should know that this kind of country has been shared and whatever happens in it is a plan by the so called political class whose plan has always been to enslave the citizenry and make them not to have no option option than to adapt to any situation which ever way it comes.

This statement is just an indirect means to tell the citizen not to expect anything from this government since the tenure has been shared and how any person rule his own doesn't matter to anybody, this kind of can only come from Africa because of the haplessness of their citizens, if it were to be developed nations once you make this kind of statement you will be disqualified because it means since is your turn if you are not given the opportunity to rule, you will do anything to get the position which nobody knows what the way will look like and such way might cause insecurity even though you might be arrested by then somethings unusual might have happened.

It is so disheartening to have come across this kind of politicians that is reckless in thinking that want to grab power by all means .

Government is for the people, and it takes a lot of work for a good leader to achieve his vision for the Nation, Governance is everyone affairs, and no one individual can run it alone, on this topic, i think most of us here do not understand the working of Government, Tinubu Hiring best brain to draft his working tools for his government is not out of place, because Nigeria is a multicultural entity, the President Elect could have his own vision and mission for his government but can not draft all the challenges facing the entire Region, he must seek for good brains from each region to draft his manifesto for his day to day running of hi government, this how government works. so mr president elect is on track

That’s what politicians all over the world do, even though many of the ideas in it are not the idea of the politician himself and even if he doesn’t understand how to implement it, which he does just speak and keep speaking to be able to attract many voters to become his voters. The outcast politicians would not even be able to fulfill every promise made in his campaigns—per if it could be fulfilled 50% would be very good but his dryness under it would even do the opposite of what he once promised.
What can the people do to such an elected president? I think there’s nothing but going on living and working well to improve our lives because hoping that the President will change our situation is just a dream.

The thing about politicians is that most of these people or their script writers only talk about things that they know people would love to hear regardless of it being logical/achievable or not. Most of the time in politics, the main goal is to garner as much attention and blind compassion as they can from the masses that would help them succeed in their campaigns and probably winning and achieving their wanted positions. It is pretty rare nowadays to see manifestos that are realistic and truly possible to achieve from politicians. Most have become just sugarcoated crap and empty promises that are just created for the sake of having something to say. Well, that's politics for you.

A lot of politicians do this. Nothing intellectual about them, so they outsource all the creative thinking to someone else who writes a script for them to read.

Assume this of every elected official until proven otherwise.
