That's how a lot of platforms start. Tron and EOS both started with Ethereum ERC20 tokens. Tron is either done with, or currently doing their mainnet swap and EOS might be next year.
Lol you didn't even read about what has stated by OMG from the start if that will always use Ethereum as the main platform instread of creating a new one. Go back and read the old article about that.
There will be no blokchain for OMG because it's fully pegged to the ethereum platform.

I am not aware of any such move by OMG, but I have seen one of the top 50 crypto which has plan to have it's own blockchain. NPXS is planning to move off ETH network and create it's own network. They are also planning to launch a decentralized phone which is a great news

Yes, me too !! I would like to know. Does anyone know ?

Thanks
Omise will remain ERC20 token afaik. There is no need for a token swap. So keep hold your tokens on mew.

Is this topic still relevant and does anyone know whether OmiseGo considers moving away from ETH anytime soon?

Thanks all. Glad to know this is a future thing. And retrying send from bittrex did succeed to an ETH address.

It's in their roadmap they will have their own chain but don't know if your failed transaction was as a result of their chain implementation. Check their website or twitter handle for update.

You may need to hold on! Don't tranfer yet. If your coin is on exchange leave it there until there is clear direction on wallet, there chain and it's entire ecosystem. I am sure we will be updated on the next thing!

There is nothing new for me. From the very beginning OMG has its own exchange platform and wallet, so it is quite reasonable to try create its own infrastructure for transactions to be more independent.

Is OmiseGo (OMG) moving off ethereum ERC20 tokens to their own blockchain? A transfer I tried making from a leading exchange to an ETH address failed and I think I read something about that a bit ago. If they are, what do I need to do to transition coins to new blockchain?
