You should know how to protect yourself Smiley
For example : i don't have any AV and i assume my computer is safe Wink
AV will not make your computer 100% secure Smiley

@totemITnow
Isn't kaspersky good  Huh

It is as good as other AVs. But you must understand it protect only against common and least sophisticated threads. Browse only trusted sites and do not install more than trusted apps and there is high likelihood your bitcoins will be safe. Just dont trust your AV will save you

blockchain.info is generally considered safe. But you might want to be a little more nuanced in your understanding. I would not want to keep more than a few hundred dollars worth in an online wallet. Why?
The website owners could steal or loose your coins. They might get robbed and you will have no real legal recourse. A thief might target your account and find it easier than targeting the coins in your possession.
I keep a few in an online wallet for spending from a cell phone, but the bulk of my bit-wealth never sees the sun. I keep it backed up and secured in a safe deposit box. No one can keep them as safe as I can. Maybe that is true for you as well?

blockchain.info is as safe as your e-mail account. better check that too.

reason is, I've seen some people lose their coins due to insecure mail account. you'll receive a backup of your wallet by mail from blockchain.info.

You made good choice, blockchain.info is safest online wallet I believe. If you plan not touch the Bitcoins for long time, learn to use paper wallets though

Hello guys  Grin

I wanted to know if making online bitcoin wallet is safe or not?
I have just setup an account in blockchain.info & was planning to buy some bitcoin.

So should i proceed?
Also i am from India. So which is the best site to buy bitcoin directly using INR (Indian Rupees).
BTW i was planning to buy from buysellbitco.in

Please recommend if there is another more trusted site.
Thanks Wink
