All crypto currencies are related to each other, so, of course, altcoins influence the price of bitcoin, but bitcoin will always exert more influence because of its status as the first crypto currency.

indeed indeed all crypto currencies are indeed interrelated. but not negatively related but support each other. if indeed the altcoin gives a negative impact on bitcoin then bitcoin will eventually be destroyed little by little.

Yes, of course it is influential, but it's not too influential for the most influential Bitcoin to price Etherium, because almost all ICO now use the exchange of Etherium to be very influential. and the market will determine the price, sometimes prices can not know when prices will rise or fall all unexpected.

As you can see altcoins are affected by bitcoin's price.

And while bitcoin is being pulled down by an unknown force to slide it to the bottom, altcoins are also sliding together with bitcoin.

It seems more like these days, that bear force most especially for altcoins is really just out of this world. Sorry to digress a bit, but the last upward correction for bitcoin where we had some pretty good push towards $8300, actually made me feel the altcoins could use that as a chance, but they just kept dropping pretty fast. Honestly, some times, with the huge complexity of this market, it would take some pretty huge experience and carefulness to hit it right as you can never judge by the past moves at all.

Bitcoin though seems to be gaining some huge dominance which presently is over 50% and that shows some great level of support for bitcoin at this stage, but how far we are going to go down, is still left with time right now and I really pity how some alts are really going to end up if the market gets hugely beaten already than it is now.
Right, I've also seen that opposite movement that alts did when bitcoin stretched too $8,300.

BTC dominance has increased again by 0.4% today.

This only proves that bitcoin and the crypto market is very unpredictable. With any technical analysis we've got, it's showing some unexpected movement towards our expectations.

Hi everyone. I'm newbie. I wanna ask question.
Nowaday, many altcoin present in crypto-currency.
My question in my mind, Is present of many altcoin will take effect to bitcoin's price?
Give me an explain plead.
Thank you.
I think that such influence is very insignificant. It does not matter how people buy bitcoin. Much more BTC affects all altcoins, just like the dollar has an impact on everyone else.

If that is the future ETH will rise again and again BTC again has difficulty because the BTC will be mobilized by the ICO to withdraw funds to the US. Thus, capitalization will decrease significantly.

If its a digital currency yes it would have an impact or effect to each other at some point. Now the extent of the effect may vary was time goes, it may be the other way around which happened already. Where Bitcoin are pulling the altcoins.

Of course all Altcoins have an effect on Bitcoin. So Bitcoin is the first coin of all Altcoins. If Bitcoin rises, then other coins also rise, if Bitcoin falls, other coins will also fall. But I'm sure Bitcoin will continue to run for the long term.

each and every currency can affect every altcoins in the market, now which is which is difficult to determine. But Bitcoin is one of the major player that you can find now. And probably the first coin you get familiar with. With the previous months charts you can see that Bitcoin plays a lot when it comes to pump and dumps in the crypto world.
It seems to me that all these pumps and landfills are made artificially, so that a certain Caste of people could earn on the difference in price. After all, everything does not happen as in the market, and it's completely unpredictable.

Altcoins seem not to affect bitcoin price again like it used to when bitcoin was mostly demanded at ICO, now most ICO demands ethereum. Even ethereum is not ejoying the demand because some manipulation are done to reduce price. The more ethereum was requested for ICO the more its been sold, so it directly has not impact on ethereum also. The project teams are not holding the coin.

Every altcoin is effected by bitcoin action. this is down to trading pairs and the fact that bitcoin holds a huge market share in this space

As the parent of all digital currencies Bitcoin clearly has a strong bond with Altcoin. Altcoin's presence will affect Bitcoin, but I do not know if Altcoin will have a bad effect on Bitcoin or even better biycoin growth.

Not really. It's actually the other way around. Bitcoin does well, altcoins do better. Bitcoin does badly, altcoins do even worse. So sometimes, people feel it's better to go for alts because of way more gains. But the risk is that you also suffer much more losses if alts do badly.

Of course, some coins still can go up and down on their own regardless of Bitcoin price, but this usually happens after events like hacks or some big development news. But when there are no events, the market follows Bitcoin.

Bitcoin its the number One.
For 80/90% off trading you need to Touch in Bitcoin
Bitcoin its like gold on crypto world.
If it rises, alcoins Will Rise. The oposite
Also happen. And i dont see it Change soon.
I see that if the price of Bitcoin decrease, the price of altcoins will decrease. But if Bitcoin rise, altcoins still decrease Cheesy. Bitcoin still is number one in crypto's world but in the future, it will be replaced by another coin, which can solve all problems of bitcoin now(the example is high transaction fees, the time to get confirmations...)

All crypto currencies are related to each other, so, of course, altcoins influence the price of bitcoin, as more and more new altcoins are emerging so the impact also affects the btc turbulence.

If they will create another FOMO to the crypto and it will give a huge impact to the bitcoin because it will eat the bitcoin dominance to the market. You should remember last year and the bitcoin dominance was around 28.6 percents and it can be considered as very low percentage of bitcoin domination in the cryptocurrency.

But that will be back again to the how good those new projects are

Yes it will affect the price of bitcoins, first of all the investors will need bitcoin in order to buy some altcoin that makes bitcoin is so popular it was the first crypto, that's why when bitcoin is on high demand the price also will get increase.
But those new altcoins  from ICO prefered eth to distribute their tokens and it when get listed in the  market  especially in forkdelta and etherdelta theres  only altcoin/eth and some big exchange theres also altcoin/eth altcoin/btc.

Okay thanks all. Now I get the point that altcoin almost all needed to pair with BTC and it affect to BTC.
Many thanks
If you got the answer you must lock this thread because many spam thread was created in this forum so we should avoid the spam users in this forum. Altcoins are just a alternative so we should buy Bitcoin then exchange to altcoins so both are mingle with each other and once Bitcoin is down similarly others are down in the market.

Well, I think it does have an effect. Since there are a lot of cryptocurrencies and almost all of them are paired with either US dollar, ethereum, or bitcoin, it only means that people will be buying or selling bitcoin from time to time just to buy some altcoin or vice versa.

Yes that's taking effect, there are many altcoins but all of them are giving effect to bitcoin's price. All of these altcoins need bitcoin before buying so it needs to go through bitcoin first before you can have them. In ICOs, some doesn't prefer bitcoin but ETH instead but when it goes listed to an exchange still they will be needing bitcoin. But in some exchange, there's only ETH / altcoin trade orders that you can do.

Bitcoin actually has more effect on the price of altcoins. This is the reason altcoins are in their current state because the price of btc. If there's a BTC bullrun anytime, the prices of alts will spike too
