I'm having the same problem.  The machine ran fine most of last night (until I went to sleep).  When I woke up I got the following:

PLease read pool's forum thread, everything explained here.

Got it.  Thanks.  Not clear on how I can get on the whitelist though.  Sent you email through [email protected]

I get dynamic IPs that change without any observed regularity from my IP (Comcast).  I'm happy to send you refreshed ones as they come up.  I'm even willing to write a script for my mining boxes to do so automatically.

Good luck.

The link to the thread explaining what happened:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/?topic=1976.0

Basically the reason is a DDOS attack

You can access the site on https://mining2.bitcoin.cz/accounts/profile/

But you need to get your IP whitelisted to be able to start mining at the moment.

I'm having the same problem.  The machine ran fine most of last night (until I went to sleep).  When I woke up I got the following:

I have two mining boxes, both running Ubuntu 10.10 and ATI cards.  I set one up last night (HD5870) and it ran fine all night.  Came down to check it this morning and I see nothing but the following:

...
[6/13/11 10:18:21 AM] ERROR: Can't connect to Bitcoin: connect timed out
...

So I downloaded a new Diablominer binary just to be sure.  Same problem.  Nothing has changed on the machine and I'm posting this from it (eg., network is connected).

Here's how I'm launching it (using -d to try and see more info).

topper@diamond1:~/bitcoin/DiabloMiner$ ./DiabloMiner-Linux.sh -d -v 2 -w 128 --url http://:@mining.bitcoin.cz:8332/

[6/13/11 10:23:08 AM] ERROR: Can't connect to Bitcoin: connect timed out

Help / information would be appreciated.  I don't see why my new mining box should no longer be able to connect.

I've seen in this and a couple of other threads the issue of a white list?  I'm not sure what I need to do to get on it.  The machine in question is configured as follows:

CableModem -> AirportExtreme -> AirportExpress -> ethernet -> computer

Like I said, it worked fine all day yesterday until I fell asleep.  Did something change on mining.bitcoin.cz?

Thanks,

I have the same problem, another user linked me http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1976.msg211977#msg211977 here, and i found out that i have to simply wait, since my ip is dynamic i cant just pm you my ip for the whitelist.
You can either try to send him a pm (if its unlocked already, rules state that you need 1 post...) with your ip, and if yours is dynamic too you will have to wait.

was hard to ask in pool's main thread?

Please don't open new topic for everything, it's a mess then. I'm not going to follow this thread, please continue there. Also, there is already a response to your question.

He is not welcome to post any other place than right here because he is a newbie. It was not his choice it is the policy of this forum.

Oh, sorry, didn't know about this rule.
