I've seen some people selling cards for MUCH lower than the loaded value- $4 for a $20 card,
so they must be closing the cards quickly and you probably risk losing the gift card often,
otherwise I don't think the prices would be so low.

Eh, maybe they cracked down on illegal sales, but I think the company is doing just fine.  Is that what you meant, OP?  Starbucks as a company is most definitely not dead, though sales of cracked gift cards and whatnot may have died down here.

I have noticed since some sort of update that there is a lack of starbucks sellers... whats up ? is it dead now?

Are you talking about gift card sellers selling carded gift cards? My feeling was that Starbucks has been really cracking down on this since a year ago. I have stayed away from them since last summer. At that time, they were closing cards very fast.

As far as Starbucks goes, not sure, but I did see a story recently that they are opening a new, higher scale brand of cafes.

Then they should lower their price so they can improve their dwindling market share. Why fall out now after putting so much effort and hard work into it?

Starbucks have grown high over the westwards, now due to some sort of issue that rose on service at a Starbucks the popularity got declined. Now maximum focus is towards the Asian countries, where it was not much popular due to the increased pricing.

Read something about Starbucks is losing alot of value now. Haven't you noticed a lot of things they have done lately that shows a company that is trying to hang on to their market share?
