hi, the APW9 and APW9 + PSUs, so for ALL bitmain 17 series, start like this:

directly to the connection of the 2 cables C13, PCIE out directly + 12V

and only after, the firmware power up the 2nd power (14v - 21v)

Dunno about the startup operation, I have not owned a T17e.
Try to search info about it-->

APW9+ specs

APW9+ repair manual (use google translate from chinese to english)

While booting a T17e, You can also test it yourself if you want to -->

Hello
can anyone tell me whether t17e psu is auto switch? i mean it will release 12V in start time, or will release 12V later? can anyone tell me more details about this?

Thanks.

it does two volts. 12 directly to the controller and about 20 to the boards the board power will vary down to 16 maybe less. say 14.
