I’m new to crypto so I could be wrong but I believe the snap shot was taken of the Blockchain at a certain block. You wallet address is listed in the Blockchain therefore when the snapshot was taken it was for all wallets that were on the Blockchain at that specific block so all wallets had the snapshot at the same time.

Hello,

I had some BTC in my wallet the day of the BTG fork, and now decided to sell BTC after the spikes of these days.

I see that, if I had BTC in my wallet the day of the fork (exactly in the moment of the "snapshot"), I will receive the equivalent BTG the day my wallet (Ledger) gives them away.

My question is: is the snapshot the same for all wallets? If not, how do I know when my wallet took the snapshot?
