HodL!
I recently got a Ledger Nano S and like it so far. As other mentioned, if you do lose it, there is a 6 digit passcode just to open it. (Not very likely)

And 99% of the time it will be at home right? You can travel with it I guess...

The only miner issue that I have with it is that it only holds like 5 wallets at a time. To add more crypto wallets, you delete one or more like BTC, ETH... then load the new one.  You just need to remember that you have the private keys loaded for the wallet(s) that you deleted as they do not show up on the device.

Anyone out there have experience with The Ledger Wallet? How has it worked out for you. What if that gets stolen? Even though they won't know your passwords or anything, are you still able to retrieve your accounts? I'd love to hear from people who use these hardware wallets and the ease of use of them.
Based on my research as I'm planning to purchase one myself, I would say it's pretty safe. Just buy it from legit sellers especially those that are listed on their official site.

If you ledger was lost or stolen you can recover it using the recovery seed or phrase, that wont be a problem if you stored in in a safe place from the moment you bought it,ive been using ledger wallets for 2years and i really think these wallets are secured like a vault, havent encounter a single problem yet.

The private key is the most important thing for your wallet and Ledger does. Do not let your wallet be stolen and especially your private key kept in a place where no one can steal it. Protecting your property is very important because you will certainly regret if the property on your wallet is lost. Using a Ledger to keep the coin is a very safe way because it has a very high security, at a low cost, I think investors should buy a Ledger.

They wouldn't be able to access the wallet without knowing some type of code (numerical). If they fail 3 times the wallet deletes itself and must be recovered using a 24 word seed code that you should have written down when you set up the hardware.

I own both a Ledger and a Trezor and both are great hardware wallets. Make sure you buy it from their direct website or from an approved reseller. Some scams have been going around where the scammer sends you the hardware with a preloaded 24 word seed (that they know obviously)

It sounds like there was news recently that Ledger will offer some time of exchange support as well via a partnership of some sort? What do you think?

If it gets stolen then they can't get access without knowing the credentials. Although you can still recover your wallet if you have made a back up of the seed which is provided when you first create a wallet on the Ledger.

Although you should probably still make sure you don't get it stolen  Tongue
