The silent letter is "c". Im not sure though. but I think it's "c".
In the discipline of the English Language we follow the silent letters, which in this case is 'c'.
I think it is C
To determine which letter is muted, let us take a close look at the etymology of the word scent.
I think its the S!
I believe neither "S" nor "C" is silent in a word "scent". Try to remove any of these letters from the word. That would be a completely differend sound
c is the silent letter in scent
