I really can't understand your judgment and how you arrive to these conclusions.
Trump is very anti-abortion and he appointed judges on the supreme court specifically with the goal of gutting abortion rights. They did his bidding just as he wished. Abortion rights in the US already took a big hit. There's absolutely no reason to deny this. Calling Trump a moderate when he is in fact one of the most extreme conservative presidents over the last 3 or so decades sounds a bit absurd.

Now, on project 2025... Have YOU read it? I've skimmed parts of it and for sure it's not anything close to moderate.

Trump actually is a moderate who has always been fine with abortion. It is actually this kind of posting that is the reason Trump has such large support because people note that people against Trump seem badly misinformed. I don't know much about Project 2025, but I do believe it is focused on abortion actually, but rather seems to be focused on supporting specific people to be hired into Trump's administration. Perhaps you shouldn't be letting the news media tell you what Project 2025 is about and instead go to their website and report back here.

That's does not look like a complete picture. We have to face it, there are many US nationals that support Trump, and their support goes beyond anything reasonable: it does not matter if he is declared guilty of rape (as it happened), having fun with a porn actress or anything that would traditionally make a Republican candidate have to leave the race.

And then we have the people that matter: the swing voters. In the bitcoin forum, there will be people who will vote on that issue, but outside there are many concerns that need to be addressed and they tend to be either social (responsible paternity, racism,...) or economic (inflation, jobs, healthcare,...)

Trump likes the debate to be about name calling, that is where he thrives... in the Xtwitter 250 character rant, in the 5 minutes of name-calling in TV... He only loosely explains his proposal, sometimes to the point of saying one thing and the opposite... if you look at his policies there is a traditional conservative proposal and going back to the middle ages in social, but where is the economic discourse? What does Trump think is going to happen if he turns upside down all the international agenda?

I think you haven't been in this community long enough to understand why some people here are supportive of Trump.
But most definitely many of Trump supporters here would be American.

More than 10 years ago, maybe circa 2011, when nobody would give air time to bitcoin, the only place you would hear of it were some obscure websites as well as a single radio station. No TV!

This situation attracted to bitcoin many people that were averse of the mainstream media. So there's some or even a lot of correlation to this still. What media could people disliking the mainstream ones listen to? What were the alternatives in America? Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh et al. Do you get it now? There's no wonder many bitcoiners support trump. Especially old timer bitcoiners. It's not just because of his recent bitcoin support, they supported him even before because of his "alternative" politics.

You may disagree with their opinions but at least get it right.

There's a reason why almost every poster in this community who favors Trump does not live in the United States.

They like Trump because they think (wrongly) that Trump will make the price of Bitcoin go up. They would be in favor of electing Hitler in the USA if they thought he would make Bitcoin go up.

But actual Americans are going to vote on domestic policy issues like abortion which affects their everyday lives, not the lives of foreign Bitcoin holders.

That's why Harris is now ahead in the polls, and her lead keeps getting bigger.

Well Trump is simply showing more truth. It's is more frightening to me that he will get over 60 million votes even when he reveals his true intentions. What does it really mean? A LOT OF PEOPLE are really naive and just want someone to follow.

Let's first consider what Trump did in 2016 to win the presidency.

People were canvassing door to door, using advance analytics and hearing what Americans had to say. These issues were then integrated in the Trump campaign in a very vocal way.

Trump's team was pushing highly localized advertisements through modern means such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook based on their advanced analytics. Many people underestimate how grassroots that campaign had been compared to Hillary then running mega fundraisers from banks.

So by listening to the people trump made pledges on several pressing issues, and was able to sway many votes against Hillary by simply looking more reasonable.
Trump was against war, pro bring jobs on-shore from abroad and also anti-establishment. Put that in a face to face comparison against Hillary's crooked war mongering neoliberal agenda and it looks a thousand times better to a working class American. But what about this election?

Trump is talking with the ultra-conservative group behind project 2025 and has brought out his own version of an agenda called "agenda 47".
Among these agendas, there's things like further restrictions on abortion and reproductive healthcare access, founding a central committee for overseeing educational materials, cutting all federal funding to education...
Trump even proposed to simply seize the money of private donations to universities deemed antisemitic, suggesting this money should then be used to fund his "American Academy" private online college.

Now Democrats have started attacking Trump and his agenda as "weird":

Oddly enough, this attack tactic seems to work. To many Americans, the plans supported by the Trump campaign seem very outlandish.
There's a very big, startk difference between Trumps 2024 and 2016 campaign.

In 2016 Trump won against Hillary by listening to the people and developing a popular strategy for battleground states.
In 2024 Trump has given everything away to his biggest financial backers and ultra-conservative groups.

This shows a complete disregard of the working American people, the fighters, the peace lovers, the country's women, students, teachers... You name it!
Trump made plans for women but completely disregard the popular opinion on abortion and contraception.
Trump made plans for schools but didn't poll parents, teachers and didn't consult those studying education on an academic level.
Trump made plans for universities but didn't consult working class families paying college, didn't ask professors, didn't ask the struggling students...

Trump just made concessions to the ultra-rich like doing a 180 on electric car subsidies due to Elon's donations, Trump forgot all his promises for peace because of his billionaire Jewish donors as Israel is conducting a genocide and also Trump became a complete sellout to his ultra-conservative supporters and completely forgot all the concessions he had made on LGBT rights, anti-racism and other groups.

So let's be realistic here. Democrats suck, but Trump hasn't built a great platform. To call him weird for this presidential run works as an attack against him, as absurd as it sounds, simply because so many issues in his platform are very out of touch with the average American.

Does Trump still have time for a turnaround to popularity? To vow to be anti-establishment once more and actually start making promises to the worker and the struggling man instead of the billionaires?
Or is it too late and he'll have to run with what it is?
