no, ssd, because of huge virtual memory and faster everything compared to cheap usb sticks.

some tweaks don't work on later versions, but it won't f*ck up your installation seriously.
I'd suggest to customize your windows with MSMG toolkit yourself. my customs win10-1703 uses only ~8 GB space and has everything removed what MSMG offers + some tweaks.
