What should be the minimum requirenment for a miner? is there any seperate part available in the market which can increase the hash rate of a already working mining grid? something like that?

I've watched a nice video guide for mining, that contains literally everything you need in order to start.

There is the link: https://youtu.be/lInylz7FOhI?si=iuRKORIZ3lVqTRCc

Helped me and few of my fellow miners. Smiley

What exactly do you mean by solo mining? If you refer to solo mining where you run your own pool/node, check this guide [Guide] Solo mine testnet bitcoins with cgminer, Bitcoin Core, and a Compac F. Take note that guide focus on software level.
Solo mining is when a miner mines and validates blockchain blocks without joining a pool. Solo mining pits you against other miners to solve difficult mathematical puzzles and add a block to the blockchain. Upon success, you will receive the entire block reward.

Like playing a team sport alone, you don't share the win or prizes. Remember that mining in a pool, where participants share computing power to increase the odds of finding a block and split the rewards, can be simpler and less unpredictable than mining alone.

What I understood by solo mining is mining with a single maching. I've been looking at the guide to make sense out of it.
The number of machines used is irrelevant, it could be 1 miner or thousands of them. Solo mining is mining a block without having to share the reward with other miners vs pools where the block rewards are split amongst all of the the miners in the pool.

To solo mine you just point your machine(s) at your own node (bad idea) or point them at a provider like the Kano or -ck solo mining sites.

I read somewhere that a solo miner mined a block. As big a gamble as that is, I'm considering solo mining with just one machine. I'm not bothered if I never mine a block but I just want to give it a shot. Is there a guide somewhere on the best miner to buy and how to set it up. Has someone here tried solo mining. I just need some sort of guidance. Thanks.

just mine at ckpool

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/yh-solockpoolorg-2-fee-solo-mining-256-blocks-solved-5237323

or kano solo

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/kanopool-kanois-lowest-09-fee-since-2014-worldwide-2432-blocks-789369

what miner to use is the hard question.

do you have 120 or 240 volt power?

you have very limited choice if you have 120 volt power.

if you have 240 volt.

look for a two board s19 set it to low power and it will do about 50 th and fairly efficient and quiet.
