It's a weird situation... I was helping the user on Telegram when they first posted the other evning... using their 12 words seed mnemonic and "legacy" option, Electrum only shows transactions up until the end of June (and a final balance of zero). OP swears there has been activity on the wallet since this date (as recent as last week).

Tried the "p2sh-segwit" and "native segwit" options, but they show no history whatsoever. Even tried using derivation paths for different "accounts", but no history there either. It's like the iOS version of Mycelium just started using a different derivation path at the end of June or something??!? Huh

Addtionally, for whatever reason, even after a delete, reinstall and restore, the Mycelium app on the iOS device was unable to sync properly... hopefully, when that situation is rectified, the wallet will resync correctly and show the correct balances/transactions.

Otherwise, it's going to be a "needle in a needle stack" type of search trying to figure out what the derivation path should be... Undecided

As long as you have your mnemonic code (the 12 words) and as long you are sure that this mnemonic is indeed the one from your mycelium wallet, you are fine.
Your funds are not lost.

As mentioned by nc50lc, you need to tell electrum which address type it should use. It has to match with the one of electrum.

If you can't figure it out after following nc50lc's tips, feel free to report with what you have tried, and what kind of addresses (starting character) you had in mycelium / electrum.

I’ve tried using electrum to recover my wallet even Coinomi but still zero balance and it’s showing zero balance  which is not supposed to be so
You need to properly set the derivation path of the address where you've received those funds.
What's the first three characters of the address?

For Electrum, you need to select the address type after pasting the "BIP39 seed"/"backup phrase"/"the 12-words":

  • legacy (p2pkh) for addresses starting with '1'
  • p2sh-segwit (p2wpkh-p2sh) for addresses starting with '3'
  • native segwit (p2wpkh) for addresses starting with 'bc1'

If you've created more than one accounts in Mycelium and the balance was sent to the second,
change the last 0' in the derivation path into 1' after selecting the address type, or higher if you want to restore the third and next accounts.

If nothing worked, you must have been using a "backup phrase" from another wallet.

Is the wallet synced with the blockchain ? You need to be in sync to get the right balance. Also, are you sure the 12 words correspond to the wallet you were using ? From mycelium help, it says " It might take some time until your first account is synchronized and the balance updates" so that's my best bet, wait a bit. Check that you have a good connexion. That was already your problem before so maybe your connexion is limited or firewalled, your ISP blocking something ? The coins are there on the chain, you're just not seeing them.

 Cry Cry Cry
My mycelium wallet was taking it too long to synchronize so I deleted it thinking I?ll be able to have my wallet back as it is if I reinstall but behold a zero balance on my wallet even after recovering with backup phrases (the 12 words)
Somebody please help me I will reward greatly

I'm with ETFbitcoin here.
If you want to transfer funds from one wallet to another, you simply need to create a transaction.

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve. Moving funds? Just create a transaction.
Anything else? Like "moving" private keys? Or what exactly?

how would you create a wallet in Satoshi's node, and then transfer bitcoin from Satoshi's node to Mycelium?
When you say "Satoshi's node" did you mean Bitcoin Core? If it's "Satoshi's Vision-Altcoin", nevermind the next paragraph.

If so, it will automatically setup a wallet upon first launch; you can immediately send bitcoins to one of your receiving address using the "receive" tab.
But you won't be able to spend using normal method until the node has a fully synced blockchain.
That will require you to download about 300GB of data.

Mycelium is a light client that connects to the creating company's nodes on datacenters so there should be a couple of IP addresses that could be found on their source code (https://github.com/mycelium-com/wallet-android).
they were asked to add the option to let users connect to their own nodes but i don't know if they ever added it or not since i don't follow this project closely.

If not, how would you create a wallet in Satoshi's node, and then transfer bitcoin from Satoshi's node to Mycelium?
create a new wallet in that new wallet software, create a new address and copy it. then go to your old wallet software and send your coins to that new address.
that's the safest way to do it.

Can anyone please tell me if Mycelium has its own bitcoin node?
If so, what is it's IP Address and what port does it use?

If not, how would you create a wallet in Satoshi's node, and then transfer bitcoin from Satoshi's node to Mycelium?

Thank you!
