CPU  or  GPU mining is your best bet with a PC these day . minergate is good to use to get your feet wet till you know more, once you know wtf your doing find something better there are better miners but it is a very good miner to learn with and you may like it enough to keep using it . I didn't but Ive allso been mining for three years and it's been a lot of fun and made ROI on some gear i bought when i did mine BTC directly .. all my antminer S5 did ROI and i made some profit now you can't unless you have deep packets mining BTC .

I went back to GPU mining or video card mining .

like they said check out minergate or even this one https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=nhmintro don't mine btc on a PC it might become a waste of time . mine alt coins and be paid with BTC, mining BTC directly with a PC is a bad idea you can do it but get nothing out of it .

thanks top

what are the specs requirements? please need help.
Computers do not mine bitcoin in any meaningful fashion regardless of the software. It does not matter what the specs of your PC are, you need an ASIC to do any bitcoin mining that earns anything besides 'dust' - which means a denomination so small that no one would even allow you to transfer it.

you can mine with your current configuration using minergate and if you are planning to mine you need specific machines to mine coins ,in the case of bitcoin you need ASIC machines and if you are planning to mine alt coins like ETH ,XMR you could mine with your PC with a good processor and graphic card.
