How difficult would it be to provide access to a list with our failed reports?

Not unless theymos changes it. I think people should be able to see their recent history though and reports marked good or bad. Would help people figure out what should and shouldnb't be reported.
I'm also interested in a kind of feedback about the reported posts. As long as I'm 100% it doesn't really matter but as soon as I'll have my first failure, I'll be really interested in the details.
...
So it took some time (2 weeks) and I'm not 100% anymore in reporting spammy posts...
I can really understand now the curiosity of the others about it, I also would be happy to know what was the problem with my reports...
Unfortunately it also reduces my motivation to report again the spam posts, because I don't want to let my % to decrease even more...
A list with the failed reports (and a brief explanation) would be really handy...

I don't really care about the ones that are accurate, but it would be nice to know where I had got it wrong. I guess the mods don't wnt to get into a discussion about their judgement, and that's the reason for the lack of feedback.

I've been stuck at 98% for a very long time now:
Code:
You have reported 2920 posts with 98% accuracy
It really is very good when you have reported 2920 posts !!!

I do feel the same like Jet Cash and others, we need a detailed report and hope some day theymos will have time for it. My accuracy is also 96% LOL

I'd like to know too, but that's just my curiousity.

I've bumped this thread because my accuracy has dropped to 96%. I try to report posts that I feel are of no benefit or destructive to the forum, but it looks as if I may not be on the same page as the mods. I tend to feel that if I can't improve my assessment, that I should give up reporting posts.
I wouldn't worry about it. 96% is a very high ratio! Most reports are of course clear cases, but sometimes it's a judgement thing. I see those reports as a "please look into this and take action if needed", and indeed, that reduces my accuracy sometimes. It'll also be different for each moderator.

You have reported 56 posts with 96% accuracy

That's what I've got at the moment, and I've got the hump over it. I think I only reported one post since I dropped so low. If I'm out of touch with forum policy, then it isn't worth bothering imho, and with no feedback, I can't tell if I'm being unreasonable in having this opinion.

Idea:
I'm sure that a huge % of the reports contains specific problems like spam, copypaste, offtopic, google translate ICO ANN, bump, etc...
Why not to have a brief list with radio buttons for the specific problems, and a last one with input text box, if the problem with the post doesn't fit into any of the above mentioned ones.
I'm sure that if you check 10 reports for the same issue, there would be at least 10 kind of definition about the issue with the post. Maybe it would be easier also for mods to see the issue (marked from the list) promptly, without having to read thru the reporter's sentences...

Any accuracy above %80 is great to have. that means you have reported 20 out of 100 inaccurately. that is still acceptable and appreciated.

I've been meaning to post the same thread but Jet Cash beat me to it. One of my posts from a few weeks ago was marked bad and I'm pretty sure I reported it for either spam or plagiarism, so it should've been a slam-dunk. Whenever I report plagiarism I provide the message # that was copied or a link to the post (if not in the same thread).

Also, one of the users I most recently reported for plagiarism has gone unpunished and is still posting, but my post accuracy went up so the report was presumably marked good. I am especially vexed by this one because said user plagiarized me!  Grin

Thanks for looking into that yet again for me. I'm sorry to have given you yet more work.

I don't like failure, and if I fail, then I think I should try to learn from my mistake, but without any feedback, it is difficult to do this. Also, I seem to be at odds with forum policy over a number of things - merit and account selling for example, and I have to moderate my behaviour to accept the accepted practice of the forum. Sometimes it goes against my instincts - reporting duplicate posts for example. Smiley

You seem to have got the bad report for this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.34430004 reported as "duplicate thread - could they be merged?"

Maybe you should have reported the first post and not the second, but a report like that I probably would have just ignored and marked neither bad or good. I wouldn't worry too much about the odd report or so though. Some cases will just be down to the individual who handles them.

Interesting topic. I am at 97%.

I also do think having more details would be interesting to get an insight into the point of view of the mods and to understand what they qualify as "reportable".

Not unless you ask a mod. I'll check for you.

Edit: Looks like it might have been incorrectly handled. It was for this report: "The post appears to be extracted from thiis post on Quora". The account seems to have been nuked so not sure why it was marked as bad. Could have just been an accident but I wouldn't worry about having one or two reports marked as bad.

Thanks for looking into that. I think I understand what might have happened. I posted the comment, and I was going to add the link to Quora, but I hit newline to put it on a separate line. That submitted the report, and I couldn't see a way to edit the submission. I added the link, and then re-submitted. I guess the rating came from reporting the same issue twice, and I can understand that.

Thanks again for clarifying the situation.

Nice info.

Though I didn't report anyone for anything from the beginning of my time in the community.
I just let the ninja member to do all the actions needed to lessen the report status.
I've been using the patrol link like a ninja sometimes.

Am I doing anything wrong?

I've been through this too that the 100% accuracy I have for the reports I've done get down to 90% but I don't know which one is an inaccurate report to see. Hope it will be given on a list those accurate and inaccurate reports or there might be notifications if there's an inaccuracy of a given report once it has been checked.

I've been reporting posts for a week or so now, and I had a 100% accuracy record. I've now lost that, and I would be interested to know which of my reports was assessed as inaccurate. Is there a way to discover this?
