Thanks man ! I will try it tonight.
So basically i just extract and than stop and go to device manager and locate that folder correct ?

Who are you then?
Are you OP's alt account? Sorry, no offense.

Back to the point. Yeah, that's what I've done with my rig that has the same issue with OP's rig.

One other method that I know is copying a driver file to one different driver version but seems isn't working well for me.

it wasnt me Cheesy but anyway i sold all my rx polaris gpus and switched complete to vega...so my problem is obsolete

glad to hear that.
Good choice then you aren't made dizzy with the driver issue. Ah.. you are so lucky, sell old one then get the new one faster.

when you install a driver it places a .sys file in your windows folder that controls the device gpu signals through a kernel driver. every device brand has unique kernel driver, hence it is impossible to have 2 drivers for the same amd or nvidia but you can have 1 for amd and 1 for nvidia

This is incorrect information.  Windows allows 12 AMD GPU's at the same time now with one of the latest updates.  Also the newest AMD drivers also support it.

However, 2 different drivers is most likely not possible.  Good luck.

I have mixed 12gpu rig with rx 580/vega, since hbcc dont work on 17.10.2 and later drivers im wondering if it is somehow possible to install 2 different drivers on one system?
i tried install blockchain first, 8 gpus get installed. then upgrade to 17.12.2 and rollback to blockchain. but this end up in a bluescreen on start.
also tried this but same result https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/7pwsme/vega_dual_driver_guide_easily_switch_between/

somebody knows a way to make it work or a workaround?
thanks

What is your OS? Are you using windows or linux? If Linux you are in the clear because it will allow you to use over 8 GPUs of the same make (AMD).
If Windows, you wont be able to. Windows does not allow over 8 GPU's of the same make, you would have to mix between Nvidia and AMD.

As for having 2 drivers, That isn't a possibility. You are able to combine drivers though, by extracting them and copy pasting certain package folders etc.

the blockchain driver is obsolete, just use the latest with compute mode on, I get the same hashrate on my polaris cards with either

I'm doing it with 16.9.2 and 17.xx. Mixing R9 and RX series, My R9 get the best performance using 16.9.2, but RX needs the newly driver.

Clean your driver, then install one of your drivers first, until the end of step will be better (but I don't, only up to extracting process). Then install the 2nd driver, up to extracting process only. It is the way to get a folder named "Packages" on each driver series.

Update all of your cards manually through Device Manager. Select driver version for each card in AMD folder on Drive C. Example, your RX 580 need driver (A), so select driver (A) on AMD folder, then select driver (B) for your Vega.

Blue Screen mostly caused by an incompatible driver or may driver signature check. So, if your cards have been mod, don't forget to patch it.

That's so 2017, with amd drivers 17.10.2+ and win FCU update you can get up to 12 cards.

Well... Damn. Didn't know that... Thanks for correcting me.

Hello, i was wondering same thing

I have Vega 64 nitro+ and Rx480 in 1 system
And rx480 i best with blockchain drivers when Vega is good at latest driver.

Any idea how to install 2 separate drivers for each gpu?
