When you access the ann section after a while you see all your unread topics.

You can also use the watchlist to subscribe to threads you like and there is a setting for automatically watching threads you post to.

if you're looking for a new topic you can find it manually,
it's very easy actually just move your cursor to 'Last Post' and click it again,you should see it.
or you can do it in other header such as 'Replies' and 'Views'.Usually if it's new topic only a few people replied it or viewed it.
and use 'Notify' to inform you if there's a new topic has been created.
it's in top of 'Last Post' or Below 'Tables,Click it and yes.
when new topic created it will inform you about it,
