Privacy is the best, kyc is bad more than what many people that are not privacy concerned are thinking about, kyc are required on many sites but they are getting hacked, there can be a time when data hacked will be used to physically attack people but even many people are attacked online through kyc to steal from them successfully all because they are ignorant of online safety.

What do you mean by phrases, seed phrase and passphrase? If it is that, they are very important because you will use it to access your bitcoin.

You can buy bitcoin without going through kyc, you supposed to include this in your post, ways to buy bitcoin without kyc.

I've been working with cryptocurrency on and off for months. The concept of cryptocurrency and wallets is too abstract for everyday internet user.

You're such a lying piece of shit!

What happened to the 21 million bits for 21 million bitcoins project (April 13, 2020)?
What happened to the MimiCoin ICO and bounty (December 19, 2017)?

And this is what you posted four years ago:
I've been in crypto world for quite some time ...

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.

Well, crypto is not for everyday internet user, especially to those who don't want to educate themselves on something.
What you have mentioned is almost the same way to get bank account, or any digital e-wallet/bank.

Not to mention, buying bitcoin in paypal needs to verify your identity as well.

Try to search more sites which you can buy crypto using credit card. Try to search about binance and see if it suits what you are looking for. If you don't want touse card then you can buy p2p but it is recommended to use escrow to make the transaction safe. Escrow you are using should also be legit.

If you think cryptocurrencies and wallets are too abstract for everyday internet users, the same could be said with banks because things are not much different.

Let me re-write your paragraph

- Find out where to create a bank account
- When the person finds a place like n26 or bunq the person needs to create an account
- Go through the KYC (sometimes, though another company)
- Remember login details
- Educate about all of it (wallet, IBAN, CC limits, VCC,...)
- Choose how to deposit money
- Go to another site
- Choose a payment provider
- Copy/paste your card number or IBAN
- Confirm that you are the owner with a 3d secure code or app notification <= Good luck if you don't have a smartphone
- Execute the payment

That's exactly the same thing, the difference is with crypto you have to educate and familiarize yourself with everything.
When we say "be your own bank" there are some responsibilities coming with. Stuff that banks usually do.

As for the website you mentioned, I have never heard about and even if it works, you will surely struggle to find e-commerce accepting this payment method. Creating a payment mean is something, being adopted is something else.

I've been working with cryptocurrency on and off for months. The concept of cryptocurrency and wallets is too abstract for everyday internet user.

Usually if someone wants to buy cryptocurrency to pay for let's say a video person has to:
- Find out where to create account
- When finds place like Coinbase or similar person needs to create a wallet
- Go through KYC
- Remember phrases
- Educate about all of it (wallet, phrases, crypto address)
- Choose which coin to buy
- Use a credit card to buy it
- Go to another site
- Choose payment provider
- Copy/paste your wallet id or address
- Confirm that you are an owner somehow
- Execute payment
Did I miss anything?
What you listed is not complex nor is it difficult to understand. A average person can do this. Let's be realistic only a person with knowledge of crypto would want to pay for a service using cryptocurrency.
- Confirm that you are an owner somehow
you can prove ownership by providing the transaction hash/id
- Copy/paste your wallet id or address
-Did I miss anything?
To pay for a service you only need the wallet address of the seller/service provider. You can send crypto from your wallet if you already have one.

Is there anything that simplifies the process? Is there any payment provider that makes the process easy to use for the everyday user, imagine it as PayPal flow, such as:
- Register on site (it automatically creates a wallet)
- Use a credit card to buy crypto
- Go to another site
- Choose payment provider
- Login with it
- Execute payment

I found this https://www.fortmatic.com/ it comes really close
