nope. a little bit Catalyst overclocked and ram tuned down. no firmware upgrades, no fancy bells or whistles.

believe it or not, some people are not doing this for profit. I started out mining with cpu mining, and that got me more hooked on the concept of bitcoin, not on the concept of making coins to sell on markets.

Try bitminter, see my sig. Its extremely easy to use (java webbased, dont even need an account if you have a google account), but of course, that wont change the fact it wont make you rich Smiley

I too use bitminter, and it is freaking awesome. pulling great hashrates off of windows machines, (2 5870s averaging 400 M/hashs, and 1 4950 averaging 100M/hashs)

So i dont know anything about mining except the basics since i am using bitcoins for almost a year now.

My question is if there is a simple miner for windows and/or linux that you can simply run, put the info of your pool and mine. I dont care about giving me the 100% of my gpu. i just want lets say to mine 0.1 BTC. just for fun.

btw i have a ati gt525m video card

gt525m?
hahahha. don't bother. it will take forever (2+ weeks, 24/7) to mine 0.1 btc. might as well buy some.
