Just download and extract the client from here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/files/Bitcoin/bitcoin-0.3.20/bitcoin-0.3.20.2-linux.tar.gz/download

Run either the 32 or 64 bit client in the bin directory, depending on your machine.  There are one or two libraries that are missing from a vanilla OpenSUSE install that you will have to install with YaST.  I don't remember what they are, but if you start the client from the command line, it will tell you.

I have openSUSE linux 11.3 kde and want to download bitcoin but I can't find an rpm for it. Does an rpm exist and/or is it possible to install bitcoin on my os? I'm very interested in learning more about this and hands on is best.
