Bitcoin is developed in C language, and its website program is written in PHP. I think the stability of the program is the most important for a kind of virtual currency.

NEM is written in Java.  The NCC code has already been open sourced but the NIS code hasn't yet.  (The official launch and genesis hasn't happened yet and the NIS code is still being adjusted.)

NEM is looking for more developers and has put a call out for people to join.

I am not sure if you have heard about NEM or not, but it is going to be the next big coin to be released.

I want to learn the blockchain principles as a programmer,
My strong language is java and I think it will be better to start with a coin that is not mine-able (less headache).

Any 100% pos coin that is written in java? (daemon and client)

- I looked in qora thread but couldn't find any source code.

- BitcoinJ is not a full node so it won't make me understand it completely.

- NXT contains forging & 2.0 features, this is my current choice unless I find something simpler.

thank you.
