I think ethereum will beat bitcoin in the future. Base on my research the value of  ethereum is increasing.

What the hell kind of answer is that?
0 Substance behind it at all.
It looks like your research came from just browsing around the bitcoin talk forums.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of idiots just like you who are going to lose a LOT of fkn money very soon.

I'll be over here ready to say I told you so.

Bitcoin Cash has 0 potential to be a TOP currency. Again. ALL IT IS is a currency. There is nothing behind it.
How can you possibly come up with the idea of it being the most valuable?
My 1 share in google, is worth more than your 1 ounce of gold.

Think about that statement for a little, and try to think why it would be true.

Looking at the recent trend of altcoins, especially the mainstream ones - NEO, ETH, DASH, LTC, they all have the looks & gains they will beat bitcoin one day.

What do you think? Will anyone of them beat bitcoin in marketcap and $value?

I'm not sure any altcoins will beat bitcoin in 5 years even 10 years, i predict bitcoin can stay strong up to 10 years but we never know though. I think the most potential are Bitcoin cash and Ethereum or maybe a new coin that will beat bitcoin will appear on the next year or next 2 years.

There is a possibility that within 5 years, some alt will beat bitcoin if they don't fix the price tx fees and scalability problem. Imo, Litecoin and Neo can do that. But of course, bitcoin is a moving target. They are continously finding ways on how to improve it so it might be a tough battle.

Ethereum is going to have scaling issues soon and so the argument is flawed. It's just a matter of time and many might abandon it  for bitcoin since bitcoin has the bigger volume and stands a better chance at surviving than ethereum despite ethereum's current surge in value.

if for example there is a coin that can beat BTC maybe it is ETH, why? because ETH always follows the bitcoin increment even when bitcoin down ETH still persists
I think ETH will replace bitcoin in the future
Man. No. Please stop with this kind of thinking people...
Yes, Bitcoin has a little impact on Price of coins like ETH right now.... But you have to think of it this way.
Bitcoin. Is a coin. That's it. It's the pioneer. First one ever started. What is it good for? Well. It's just a crypto currency that's good for storing value...
A coin like ETH, has an entire SYSTEM behind the Ethereum token. You have to see other Altcoins, like shares in a company.
When you buy those Currencies, it's like you're buying part of the company. You join their community, you give input, you help spread the word of that coin, and you can actually have an impact on its performance.
Some of these Altcoins are going to be the next Google, the next Amazon, the next Royal LePage RealEstate Agency. Those coins are going to be worth HUGE in the future. Because of the PLATFORM behind the currency...........

Bitcoin is litterally, just like a hunk of Gold. Can't do much with it. Cept store your value in it..
Fiat currency (Pretend that is an Alt coin) Is what makes the world go round. Everything runs off of Fiat Currency, Not gold.

Place the same thinking in the Crypto Currency market, and you will be ahead of the pack by a Long Shot!

I think there is no way that altcoin beat bitcoin. bitcoin has existed and developed for a very long time. At present, the value of bitcoin is very large, bitcoin is popular, the amount invested in bitcoin is also very large.

I don't think that there will be some alt that will beat bitcoin. There maybe some alt that will compete with bitcoin but still, I think, bitcoin is more powerful and has more potential. Bitcoin has better infrastructure around it compared to other altcoins in the market. But still, it is possible to happen, it will all still depend on how the market goes after the next few years.

These four coins are already familiar in market. But these coins didn't have that much potential in crypto market. So Bitcoin is rule the crypto market. In future it will change or not but we don't predict the upcoming altcoins. Bitcoin value and market capitalisation is peak in the market. It will not down in current market. So Bitcoin is never ever touch the value.

I think there is, because today many new coins are popping up
Bitcoincash, also in gadang as a bitcoin competitor in the future, but I doubt it because I think that ETH is more dominating bitcoin
and to replace bitcoin in the future I think is ETH

NOPE, it is not possible that any altcoin can reach to price of BTC in  year because it need such high performance that it can get such large number of users like BTC while any altcoin still in market are not famous or liked by people. While BTC is also improving their performance more and more due to which speed of attracting more users are also very quick as compare to altcoin.

There are chances to reach in marketcap, but its hard to reach its value in 5 years. By then, bitcoin value would have been reached sky high. It would be unreachable by then. The altcoins you nave chosen are the top ones listed in coinmarketcap.com. ETH or LTC would be the second one to follow. ETH and BCH would be competing with bitcoin as always holding their places.

NEO and ETH are two of the most hard gainers in terms of platforms for coins. Mostly ETH. Their smart contracts are always in demand sometimes resulting in the recent congestion that happened to ETH. For me, they're a good replacement for Bitcoin. Not just now.

There is a possibility that sooner or later the coins that you mentioned will be able to beat bitcoin or another altcoin that is not develop yet would beat bitcoin. If the issues with bitcoin would not be solved then investors may think of shifting their funds to another coin because they would just lose. The thought of making bitcoin the currency as mentioned by its developers is not coming in fruition because there is a lot of problems. We should always diversify our investment in case another coin would get the crown from bitcoin and beware of FUDs and FOMOs claiming that they are true bitcoin.

I think it's very difficult, if there is altcoin beyond the BTC, then the whole cryptocurrency market will change a lot, and even the whole cryptocurrency market will become confused.

Of course not, because recent gains is not enough basis for this claim. As for me, basing on the community support, Bitcoin beats them all and we cannot say that alt coin cannot can beat Bitcoin. Bitcoin has always been open for this kind of competition, but if we are basing the current situation of Bitcoin, any alt coin can beat bitcoin, In terms of speed of transaction, confirmation and transaction fees.

In 5 years time, I don't think of any altcoin that can beat Bitcoins but in more coming years, Xtrabytes has the potential to be the number one coin. It is decentralized and much more faster and cheaper in terms of transactions. Aside from that, it is more secure compare to other coins and its blocks are unlimited so no need to fork it.
yes, I agree with you. that in 5 years no one can pursue bitcoin. but what analysis you have done so you see Xtrabytes will be number one? and will many people use it?

If you really foresee that one of them to beat BTC one day then I will add one of my own. Burst. I think the future of mining will be the more energy efficient Proof of Capacity.

If you try to post nonesense, then I will come up with nonesense of my own. I am not saying Burst is not a good project. It is, but I dont think it will beat BTC.

There are so many altcoins in the market right now but we can never know which one can overcome bitcoin or if there will ever be any altcoin that can overcome or beat it. Over the last few months, bitcoin value had drastically dropped but with it are also the values of some altcoins. If we take a look at some of the altcoins, there are certain altcoins that managed to recover and some have even grown. However, with the span of 5 years, there are so many things that can happen but for me, i find it quite impossible for a certain altcoin to beat bitcoin.

Litecoin, the currency known as the 'Silver' of the virtual currency market, hit a record high of nearly 5800 percent this year, beating beat bitcoin rivals.
The price of the virtual currency litecoin hit $ 255.42 on Tuesday, according to Coinmarketcap.com. On January 1, 1977, litecoin traded at $ 4.36. Thus, this currency has increased to 5.758%
Litecoin is one of the virtual currencies that can compete with bitcoin in terms of trading efficiency, so this currency has become a choice for most investors to diversify their portfolio.

Litecoin was created by former Google employee Charlie Lee. In terms of market capitalization, Litecoin is the fourth largest currency in the world after Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash. Since October 2011, the market capitalization of the virtual currency Litecoin has been at a low level. about $ 14.4 billion. Operating on blockchain, but Litecoin has its own characteristics. It uses scrypting instead of SHA256 like Bitcoin. Therefore litecoin is the currency that can beat bitcoin

Litecoin can defeat Bitcoin. Like many other currencies, Litecoin has benefited from the strong momentum of Bitcoin, attracting international attention. At $ 255.42 on Dec. 12, according to Coinmarketcap.com, Litecoin's virtual currency has risen to 5.758% this year (from $ 4.36 on Jan. 1, 1977). This helped Litecoin defeat Bitcoin

which you mentioned is a good altcoin that has good growth in the future, I see ETH, LTC, NEO still do not have the strength to survive when bitcoin prices fall, but different from DASH, able to balance the situation.
but I think altcoin above will not be able to use bitcoin. until bitcoin supplies run out.
