Be careful, it can be scam

Its really not scam in itself pertaining to the mail that was sent though because there was indeed another fork but it seems the developers behlnd it just decide not to do any publicity to carry everybody along. I had to also read and find out about it before getting the required information as to when the snap occur, and the exchange sites currently trading in its future pending the time its going to be available to the entire community.

Not heard about this. It should be a scam only. Or it's only just to gain some money.

what fork? i didn't read anything about this anywhere legitimate

Yesterday was the first time I read about that fork. Here is the website of the project http://www.btcd.io. The page provides a table that compares all recent Bitcoin forks. It offers SEGWIT + 8 MB block sizes and therefore differs a little from BTG and BCH.

I skim read the mail, and my reaction was - "This is not a fork, its just a scam to steal Bitcoin". If I am wrong, please explain why they are asking for people to deposit Bitcoin.
I really agree with what you said because there is no proper advertisement of the fork and I'm hearing for the first time on now. However, I ask a reliable source about the fork he said "never heard of it."

Be careful guys

This type of fork are very risky as they are fully scam, like bitcoin gold, which have not officially released the wallet and which ever wallet are outside are fully scam, if you use it your wallet will get hacked . So it is better not to claim this type of fork if you dont want to risk your bitcoins.
You can safely claim those free coins by moving your btc first into a new wallet, then just sweep your old private key into those free coins wallet. I just received an email from my exchanger few minutes ago. i was expecting BCD to have a good marketing, because I've never heard of this before.

Oh well, enjoy another free money folks don't forget to sell it before the price crashes Wink

The rumor turns out to be real but there are some things which people should know. Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) fork is supposed to happen today at block 495866. All these forks are just a free way of earning more money and don't provide any value to the coin. The developers of BCD are EVY and 007 which are not much known to anybody and probably are some anonymous people. The BCD fork is not supported yet by any mainstream exchanges and all the exchanges which supports this fork have some issues in their sites. Some have login issues, some have 2fa issues etc..
So I wont be supporting the fork either and would recommend none to put their money in such exchanges. Hold your BTC in offline wallets.

P.S : You must be asking this question in Bitcoin discussion thread and not in development thread.

Hey all,
Just received an email from QUINPRO. Email stated that- "Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) fork in ~ 8 hours (November 24) ratio 1:10", and looks something like this-

I just want to make sure that this is a fake news and not real. Can anyone give some light on it..??

BTW, I searched their website also- http://www.btcd.io/

Of course there was not much data about it. Also, I searched in Bitcointalk, but as expected, no data in here also. So, I thought it'll be a good idea to create a topic about it.

I didn't found any suitable child-board, so I'm posting it here. Requesting MODs to move this post to appropriate board if necessary.

Waiting for your valuable responses.
Regards,
akash15785.
