Feel bad for you if health insurance can't cover most of your expenses.

Do you have some alternative activity that you do to reduce your disease effect? like joining recreational activities, etc?

I live in country where we have "free" healthcare, the problem is that you get 1/10 of needed treatments and there are long queues etc. and I'm not strong enough to wait in queues etc.

Yeah, I even bought a device that could help me to some extent but various reasons I'm not using it, it's pretty complicated to set-up and I'm very upset after selling my crypto too early so it's difficult for me to do anything.

You should post/move this topic in the Project Development discussion as you are looking for other participants/members in your website. Also by moving the topic you must discuss the website itself on what are you planning to post or what you are planning to do in order for you to catch the attention of some people. 1000 people is a lot to ask for and I wonder how each and everyone of you will communicate to each other and personally I don't think you can handle it on your own so maybe try to start on a small team first.

It should be in Off-topic, I made mistake when choosing category.
1000 is number of users I would like to have, not number of people I'm looking to work with me, I'll probably post in the board you mentioned when I'll have basic version up and running.

You're not the only one that sold too early man, I even sold a lot before.  Undecided

But with your current situation if you are in pain, don't add more stress in your life. You need to recover your health at least, you know health is wealth and take a rest first.
That's not that easy, I lost my health insurance because I'm too fit to be qualified as someone who's unable to work but to ill to actually perform any work.
And health insurance in my country wouldn't help me much, it doesn't provide enough treatment to help me with my illness.

I am just curious for few fact, is your illness require time to heal or it is some type of chronic?

Chronic and if not treated it's getting worse and worse  Angry

Don't think it twice as having a lot of money will be useless when you're 6 feet under.

You probably don't feel the pain anymore so it's not that bad maybe.

If it will heal with time, then I will suggest to wait. Good ideas can aslo fail if you are not able concentrate properly. In second case you have to make work / illness balance to deliver.

True, if getting back here will just make your illness worst then don't. You're like digging your own grave. I suggest you take a rest first and don't stress out. If you just force yourself you'll be in the other way around.

Also, is $100,000 too much for getting back in track? It's better to focus on your health first. Don't think it twice as having a lot of money will be useless when you're 6 feet under.

There's a lot of good advice for you here on this page. It may be a bit confusing. I liked the post which said: 'go with your gut'. Don't regret selling too early, because that's in the past and how could you have known? You can't help it now. But if you have the drive to start a new project, make a start on it. It could work out great. But above all, don't stress.
Yeah, going with my gut would make a lot better person and a wealthy one too, the problem is that my family hated most of my ideas and for a reason I don't want to disclose I couldn't do anything without green light from them. And when they were giving me a green light I was only 50% sure and it wasn't enough because we're living on shoestring budget and losing even very small amount of money can have big consequences.

What does selling too early and starting a new project have to do with each other? Just curious as to why you mentioned that.
Because without selling too early I would have enough money to change our current flat to one meeting better than minimum humanitarian standard of 3.5 square meter per person (I'm not even sure if current flat meets this standard) and try to live maybe poor but at least somewhat stable life, get some treatment etc. without having to worry about money for some time.

Anyway, you're really the only one who knows about your capabilities given your current condition, so you should probably go with your gut here. If failure could cost you whatever remaining health you have, it's probably better for you to recuperate before you start anything too stressful.
I think I'm more worried about success than failure as success would require more work to be put into the project, it would be a commitment to my users etc.
Failure = ok, maybe I'll try something else.

Why not try to create a bounty or something like that which involves referrers to your forum so as to get the first 1,000 participants to kickstart the project.
I was thinking about that, I could offer some kind of premium account for first users  Smiley

I think you should build your concept and use it to find partners and angel investors.
In some case you only need to have the idea and others will do the rest for you if your idea is excellent and profitable .

I would need people from all over the world to cooperate in running local versions of my site in return for percentage of profit.
There would be viral effect, so if I could get first 1000 users I think it should work.
Sounds like decentralization. If you connect this to an altcoin maybe you can find people who will host/run your software/website for bounty or mining rewards, or who will make translations/localizations for bounty.

Thanks guys, I won't elaborate about my idea because it's just a twist on something many services are doing, it would be trivial for them to add this functionality to their sites, I need to be one of the first on the market with MVP.
Don't compare me to Hal Finney, I failed my math exam on first try so you can't really compare me to someone that knowledgeable.

Also, I think almost everyone in this forum can say "sold pretty early" so don't you worry about that. Hang in there and I hope the best for you.
Yeah, but people have lives, work etc. and all I have is pain  Undecided  Even with shittiest job I could save large portion of my coins back then but what job can you do when you feel the pain all the time and can't focus on anything else.
I recently read that prolonged pain may cause loss of personality and this is exactly what happened with me.
I am pain.
When I see people do different thing I wonder how that's possible - I think everyone is in pain just like me.

Ok, thanks  Kiss

Hi

Do you think that there is some hope for me?

I had some valuable coins in past, but I sold them before they got really valuable.
I would need $100 000 to get my life back in track.
I have some idea connected to crypto but I don't have a budget.
I would need people from all over the world to cooperate in running local versions of my site in return for percentage of profit.

Do you think I should try to make last effort and start this project? I have serious health problems which make using computer for me difficult. But initial version of my project would be pretty trivial to do.

Thanks for any advice.

It will help if you elaborate more about your project, before you go down that road. Hal Finney was severely impacted by

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, but he persevered to the end and he continued working on the software until he was too sick

to go on. He must serve as an example to us all, because with his sickness and the health problems, he still managed to

contribute to this experiment to the end.   Sad

Why not try and see what happens. I think this is much better than sitting around and doing nothing.

You only want a 1000 users? that is nothing. I've seen many shitty bounty campaigns attract more than that in a matter of days.

Start your idea, let us know what is it about, keep us in the loop and I am sure you can find a lot of people to help you out.
