You're not the only one that sold too early man, I even sold a lot before.
But with your current situation if you are in pain, don't add more stress in your life. You need to recover your health at least, you know health is wealth and take a rest first.
That's not that easy, I lost my health insurance because I'm too fit to be qualified as someone who's unable to work but to ill to actually perform any work.
And health insurance in my country wouldn't help me much, it doesn't provide enough treatment to help me with my illness.
There's a lot of good advice for you here on this page. It may be a bit confusing. I liked the post which said: 'go with your gut'. Don't regret selling too early, because that's in the past and how could you have known? You can't help it now. But if you have the drive to start a new project, make a start on it. It could work out great. But above all, don't stress.
Yeah, going with my gut would make a lot better person and a wealthy one too, the problem is that my family hated most of my ideas and for a reason I don't want to disclose I couldn't do anything without green light from them. And when they were giving me a green light I was only 50% sure and it wasn't enough because we're living on shoestring budget and losing even very small amount of money can have big consequences.
What does selling too early and starting a new project have to do with each other? Just curious as to why you mentioned that.
Because without selling too early I would have enough money to change our current flat to one meeting better than minimum humanitarian standard of 3.5 square meter per person (I'm not even sure if current flat meets this standard) and try to live maybe poor but at least somewhat stable life, get some treatment etc. without having to worry about money for some time.
Anyway, you're really the only one who knows about your capabilities given your current condition, so you should probably go with your gut here. If failure could cost you whatever remaining health you have, it's probably better for you to recuperate before you start anything too stressful.
I think I'm more worried about success than failure as success would require more work to be put into the project, it would be a commitment to my users etc.
Failure = ok, maybe I'll try something else.
Why not try to create a bounty or something like that which involves referrers to your forum so as to get the first 1,000 participants to kickstart the project.
I was thinking about that, I could offer some kind of premium account for first users
