Sorry to butt in, your getting great advice. Just wanted to mention DO NOT DELETE OR UNINSTALL THE APP!!! Right now you have the private key that corresponds to the receiving address you sent money to. You do not want to loose that private key. As long as you have the private key this will all work out.

You may also want to go to blockchain.info and do a search of the public key (receiving address) that the BTC was sent to. You should be able to see it sitting there.

Use Options > Settings > Diagnostics > Report issue and follow the dialog.
To what email address should I send the log?

I'd need a logfile to tell more. Can you send it to us, through the app, and mention this thread in the mail text?
Any chance for more detailed instructions? Sorry for being so annoying but I just don't know how to extract the log file from the app.

Well you could look at the logs and most likely see a ton of connection failures. If that is the case, it's something you need to sort out with your connection and device. Try switching to a different WLAN and/or to mobile data.

Tried different internet connections and as of now,I'm pretty sure that the problem is not connection related.any other ideas?

The addresses listed under "Your addresses" are all valid. So you should receive the coins, as long as you didn't delete your wallet.

Most likely the blockchain on your device isn't up to date. Go to Options > Network Monitor and see if peers connect. Swipe to the right and see how old the latest block is. It should not be older than an hour. If it is out of date (and it doesn't update quickly), check your internet connection.

The latest block is from Aug 22(or at least that's what the app says).my internet connection is all right.any idea what I can do?

So I am new to this whole thing and yesterday an acquaintance of mine sent me a certain number of bitcoins to my wallet.problem is I didn't really know where to find my wallet adress on the bitcoin wallet app so evantualy I got to the "your addresses" tab and had my friend send the bitcoins to one of the addresses that were written there.when I didn't get the money I found out that the main wallet address is
not the address I gave my friend.my question is,is there any way I can access the money in that address?
