This is what I found online about it on Binance article:

Binance Will Support the Polygon (MATIC) Token Swap to Polygon (POL).

So the conversion should be automatic and you should be able to withdraw Pol. Check Pol as the asset should be in Pol now and not Matic
Thank God!!
I also see it in my wallet now although when you posted I checked but I still didn't see POL instead of Matic coin in my wallet. I am a little worried about this but now I can see the POL of the same amount in my wallet and now the option to withdraw is also available. Thank you for your post that reassured me.  Wink

I would like to thank all those who have posted their valuable comments on this topic and I also want to inform that my fund has automatically become POL from matic. So currently I am locking this topic to avoid unnecessary posts.

Just an FYI on this kind of issue. Delisted tokens usually can still be withdrawn in case Binance already remove all the trading pairs as part of delisting. You can withdraw but you can’t deposit anymore delisted token so there’s no loss in case you have asset got delisted.

I experienced before that I left delisted BCH token when they split. The delisted token is still there and I manage to withdraw it on the exchange so that I can still sell it on different CEX.

On this case, Binance always support swap incase the project swap or migrate their tokens.

Unfortunately, the mistake we don't want to make is the one we make over and over again.

I am actually mean that some of my amount on matic coin on binance and I wasn't aware of that they already put announcements of delisting so I came to see my assets on binance And I see there is no matic and later I see matic is already delisted.  So is there any way or chance to recover the fund. Anyone have experienced ?

Shit I wanted to transfer my matics to a decentralized wallet a few days ago why didn't I do that.  Cry

Losing your MATIC coins from the Binance wallet without your knowledge; when you would like to send it to a local wallet is very irritating. First of all, call the customer support service of Binance to understand whether there is any refund possible. In many instances, that could be possible and there might be special mechanisms for the unregistered tokens. Check if it could be repaired or if there's a deadline you probably missed. Talking with the crypto community to get some tips or insights from others who might have passed through similar things also works. Proactive action Keeping tab with recent announcements on exchanges and setting up alerts can help you better manage your funds. Placing of assets in a spread wallet rather than leaving the account can provide further information and also prevent these problems from happening in the future. This is a very trying situation, but taking these steps correctly can minimize this risk for the future and also improves asset management.

I agree, it should be on POL, they do not just steal your money, they put it wherever it should be. Even when there is a full delisting then they just make withdrawals open, but close trading and depositing, they do not just delist completely, they allow you to see it until you withdraw, then when you have zero, you can't see it anymore. This one isn't like that at least, it is something that should be there as POL right now and you should be able to withdraw it anytime you want.

Please check it, and let us know how it went, I know that we are strangers but I do worry when something like this happens, it makes me feel relax when I see people fix these type of issues, we are all in this together after all, what happens to you today, could happen to me tomorrow.

I concur that those exchanges which have strict policies concerning unregistered asset management are more secure and transparent. It is reassuring to understand that some exchanges permit withdrawal even when it is under revocation. It's also great to find out that these actions do help.

I will be sure to check with Binance about the status of my MATIC. and what option we can return with. Sincerely appreciate your support and worries. We will update you on how it goes. It is actually a very common issue with the cryptos and knowing the struggle other people are going through, altogether, helps resolve the issues. Thanks once more for advice and sharing your thoughts.

I believe CEX will automatically convert your MATIC to POL, as it's not really a delisting but just migration, if you moved your coin to non custodial wallet I think you will also need to manually migrate your coin and convert it to POL eventually.
since if MATIC is no more in the CEX it means there's low liquidity in the future and all the liquidity will be moved to POL.

overall, I don't think you need to worry at all about this, just let CEX do their things if you already can't withdraw your MATIC to external wallet, nothing you can do really when CEX impose withdrawal to a halt.

If your tokens are in a CEX platform, I don't think there's a cause for alarm (yet). Most exchanges will handle all the token swap process themselves by auto-converting all MATIC tokens to POL for the users. When POL gets listed, the value should reflect on yours too. If it wasn't on a CEX platform but in your non custodian wallet, then you'd have to do the token swap yourself.

It would be a problem if the tokens were in your wallet but since they are in crypto exchange they will be automatically exchanged to the new token or BNB native token if it is permanently removed, so don't worry and follow the link that @Charles-Tim pointed out.

It's only a problem if:

1. There is a deadline to convert tokens and the deadline passes.
2. Token swap guide is complicated and leads to loss of funds.

Here is their full blog post btw: https://polygon.technology/blog/save-the-date-matic-pol-migration-coming-september-4th-everything-you-need-to-know

I made a thread sometimes last month about the advantages of leaving coins in an exchange for cases of this nature when it comes to swapping from an old coin or token the best way is using the crypto exchanges.

There is no need to panic as long as matic is the coin in question. The only time you could have something to worry about is if the token or coin was delisted as a result of a failed contract with the project owners or underperformance of the token and the deadline for withdrawal is over.

For now, all you have to do is wait and chill until the proper swap is done, and you will see your POL in your Binance account, as POL will also be available for trade on almost all the major crypto exchanges, just like matic.

Learning never stops!
One of my friends contacted me with the same issue as yours I think yesterday and  I did research about it, I don't really know about Polygon but from what I saw on Redit from this Discussion , they seem to be talking about getting it swapped automatically to POL just as  Charles-Tim mentioned. He called me some minutes ago about the POL(he has seen the conversion in his wallet), you should check yours too else it might take upto Friday.

No need to worry, as @Charles-Tim said, Binance supports the token swap process from Polygon (MATIC) to Polygon (POL), it takes a little more time for Binance to complete everything. You are not alone, you can find people with the same experience in this square article. You can grab a coffee first and leave it all there, maybe you'll see it available next week.

Sometimes, when an asset is delisted, the platform will provide the option to convert or exchange the tokens to another form. Check if Binance offers such an option for Matic. Many people have experienced similar situations, and generally, by contacting customer support or following the platform's instructions, you can resolve the issue.
Did you read what I posted above? This is still about Polygon network. They migrate from Matic and now called Pol. So the coin should be on Pol on Binance.

Also know that there are many coins that an exchange will delist and you will not be able to convert it to another coin. You will have to look for exchange that support the coin and convert it or convert it to another coin when the exchange that you are using give you a notice that they will delist it.
