Hi every one. I just wanna ask if , is there any ways to prevent or minimize the nonpaying bounty campaigns?

I joined a lots of bounty campaigns here on btt recently but I have encountered  bounty campaigns never paid the bounty hunters at the end of the campaign period. Not to mention these projects, some of them are now scam, but some of them are now very successful after the campaign, and  they forgot to pay their advertisers at the end of the bounty period. As a bounty hunter like me , its very important. Its really pain when you are advertising an ICO for month/months but in the end you got nothing. As of now, I only joined a bounty campaign which handled by bounty manager with good record here.

Unfortunately recently, many projects are cheating and offending bounty hunters. I believe that you need carefully study the project's perspective and see how the developers will interact with users. Perhaps in the future the guarantor will be used to ensure that bounty hunters are guaranteed to receive a reward for the work done.

Sure most of us here want to avoid it but in reality you can' really. Some individuals just exploit people's trust. You can always do more research before joining though.

I actually join any bounty but some of them are scam and of course i didn't get any pay , actually there are a lot of scam that really work hard to get many investors that's why its hard to find bounty who give payment to all participants.

Quite difficult indeed to know which bounty campaign will pay or not at the end of their ICOs infact this is the most difficult part of bounty hunting, as you have rightly said a reputable bounty manager will be factor to be considered before applying in a bounty campaign.

Me too. I joined some scam bountys and they made me very disappointed. I am doing some surveys and analysis myself to avoid scam one. It means, before deciding to join bounty, that one has to overcome all of my criterias

You cannot avoid these bounties, because even those bounty managers are being cheated sometimes with these ICOs,that is why there are no assurance that these campaigns will pay your efforts,we need to be careful picking those campaigns to lessen the risk of not getting paid.I personally joining those campaigns where the managers are well known in bitcointalk.

I look at the principle-the fame of the team, what experience in past companies, what idea, what it is based on, whether this idea is among the leaders at the moment, it is as a field of entertainment, will always be relevant, because people always want to relax! Here are the basic requirements, and there is someone like that!)

The safer bounty campaigns are those that pay in BTC weekly and have the BTC escrowed. For bounty that pay in altcoin, it is not easy to identify and avoid those projects that don’t pay.

For me avoiding non paying bounty campaigns means checking two things: rating of ICO and bounty manager. Rating on icobench/icorating should be promising and manager should be very qualified person from this forum like Sylon or Yahoo.

Try to be carefull when chosing campaign, prefer some campaign manage by proffesional at least he sr member at this forum. And make sure the project it self promising and not scam, cause even though they pay you in the end the token or coin will have no price at all.

Often, even the "white" ICO does not fully understand the same token economy. But this is one way or another is the reason for doubt. I think everyone who plans to invest in ICO should understand that this is a risky, albeit profitable, business. The most important thing, in my opinion, is to try to analyze the project on a cold head. The goals and principles of the service should be clear to the user even without much experience in the cryptosphere.

The best thing I can think of it's to recommend you to do a better due diligence before getting yourself into a Bounty Campaign.
There are certain Bounty Mananger which are a little bit more picky when it comes about bounties. Try to follow their campaigns.

There no way you can avoid these non paying bounty campaigns, because even these well known bounty managers sometimes are getting scammed by these developers who are conducting the bounty programs, that best thing to do is to check the credibility of these projects so it will lessen the chance of getting fooled and not getting paid by these people.

So ,we have nothing to do is to risk these bounty campaigns. I think the percentage of the non paying bounty campaigns  are low as of now, but its still pain once they run after the bounty campaign.

Bitcoin is the currency of this age

Life is filled with risk, you have to accept the loss as a bounty hunters, do your research before joining a bounty campaign, check for the following in no particular order.
1.  The  project manager in charge of the project,His past track record
2. The  % amount allocated for the bounty earning, with this you can speculate your earning at the end of the campaign.
3. The team involve in the project and also the problem theproject is out to solve.

You cant really avoid that because no one knows when will these people will turn into scam, even the great projects are turning into scams.Bounty manager doesnt have any idea what will happen at the end of the campaign and it means they dont know which one of these people wont pay the bounties that allocated for the bounty hunters.
Before I joined bounty campaign, I always take time do a research of the ICO. Also, I checked first who manage the campaign because it is one of the many factors that I considered. We really never knew what will be the outcome of the campaign but at least we have some assurance that it is being manage by some experience bounty manager.

I suggest for you to pick bounty managers with reputations, you can review their trust about people who give comments on them. As for the other campaign they paid their bounty hunters one month after the end of the bounty period so you just have to wait. Some of them have provided also email for you to send all your report if they did not update your spreadsheet during the bounty period.

I have a simple advice for you - join only those bounties that are managed by hero or legendary bounty managers. They have big experience and usually choose only good bounty campaigns. I used to follow Sylon, and all his campaigns were successful.

Unfortunately, today there are no instruments of arbitration between managers and the bounty. Therefore, one can only rely on their conscientiousness. Probably also it is not necessary to choose a command about which badly responded earlier

No you cant avoid the fact that even these bounty managers are being scammed too ,they dont have the power to know which one these developers wont pay them.So the thing is if you join a well known bounty managers the risk of not getting paid will be lessen because these managers are searching if these people behind the projects are legit or not.

I agree, no could avoid failed bounty campaigns because we all do experience it at least once in our forum lifetime.
In order to get rid of those failed bounty campaigns, we should understand why ICOs need bounty campaigns because good ICOs should offer bounty campaigns to bounty hunters to help them reach their goals like achieving soft and hard caps on their initial project capital.
Avoiding failed bounty campaigns are difficult but at least you know how to get out from them when you sense that they're gonna fail.
Most of the time will not ended up into bounty campaigns are already finished but participants never get their bounty stake tokens, but in the middle of the campaign some participants sense that some things not right and you could observe them in their social communities like Telegram Chanel for example.
Members will start to question but no answer from the admins and developers.
So that's the thing, we could avoid failed bounty campaigns if we will reach their social communities and nothing more.

Unfortunately today there are no such tools that would work this way. Today, it is worthwhile to apply only their own experience in identifying projects that would really pay, so it's worth just being careful.
I think the OP also said that there are also successful projects, but they forget to pay their participants. I think it's also very confusing because now it is very difficult to find projects that match what you do

First of all before you hit apply on bounty campaigns especially signature bounty campaign, be sure you bump on their Telegram Channels because good ICOs have a strong social community and Telegram Channels could tell you a lot of differences.
Don't waste your time on a Bounty campaigns that only has few active members because scam ICOs and bounty campaigns doesn't have any active members on their Telegram Channel and the number of members are very few.

That cannot be avoided because these bounty manager doesnt know when will these people wont give the stakes, because they cannot do about it when the developers did give the stakes to the manager,if the managers knows the project is a potential scam i am sure that they wont accept these projects. But not all legit projects are paying these bounty hunters because some of them are turning to be a scam after the ICO has been successful.

This is the hard part as a bounty hunter and talking about minimizing the situation of not being paid then its an impossible stuff because no one can predict ahead if they would pay or not.I have experience for those projects that do get their hardcap but at the end of the sale they are now forgetting their advertisers which do really pisses me off and I know the feeling of doing hardwork and not being paid.

It seems to me that there is no such guarantee yet. More precisely, there is no such opportunity to be sure that the bounty company will be accurately paid for. All the same, the risk is present and so far there is nothing to be done about it.
I think there is no such solution to solve this problem nowadays. All we need is to at least minimize them by sticking to join only to those bounty managers who has good reputations here. But its up to us, there are many bounty hunters are risking their efforts to join some suspicious bounty campaigns.

Personally I don't join Twitter bounties if:
1) there are too few followers on twitter page
2) there are too few tweets on twitter page
3) The bounty thread page is not made "good looking"...
Then I check every week if everything is ok... otherwise I leave...

Copy that sir. I will follow your advice, I think through this we can determine wether the project is legitimate or not. Also we need to check their website if it looks very professional in terms of the english grammar, graphics and the lists of the devs.

If you value your time as much as you do your money (and you should) - you should do your due diligence on bounties as you would if you were ICO investing I think. Particualrly if you are joining at the start of a 12 week campaign or whatever. Better to spend an hour finding out whether they are worth backing up-front, than discovering they are not after you have spent 84 days making noise on Social Media for them.

If they are responsive on social media, have a good transparent team... then they are more likely to be a legitimate operation, and therefore would be more concerned about the bad press they would get from short changing bounty hunters.

I think one way to avoid non paying bounty campaigns is to join a bounty campaign that are being managed by a highly reputable bounty campaign manager. There are some bounty campaign managers here that are reputable when it regards to managing a bounty campaign and I think they will not manage a bounty program if they know that the project is a scam.

to avoid the bounty that you can not change from who the manager is but it does not depend on the manager because the main one is the team of pemasara from his ICO who can be believed or no experienced manager will give the best bounty and slelalu paying even though it is too late and takes a very long time.

it is hard to know which bounties are paying and not. but in your case you forgot to do some research before you do that campaigns, take note that not every bounties are bad. mostly those bounties that managing/handle of bounty manager that has a good reputation, they are paying. and you can minimize that by joining/participate on bounties that has handled/managing by high rank and not just a newbie or member rank.

Its really hard now to see who is legit paying. Some PROJECT make their own bounty manager and their rank is newbie. If you see the project, its good and has a great potential but the bounty manger is newbie, quite risky ! So , better choose a project with a legendary bounty manager and choose the high potential project too. The most trusted bounty manager that i met is yahoo even though the project didnt meet the target cap and failed the ico, he distributed fairly the tokens and didnt abandon his bounty participants.

At the moment there is no way, except trying to chose only good bounty managers and legit ICOs. But this is a problem which is likely to become more and more emergent and it has to be addressed, especially as now campaigns are lasting even many months, and the risk of wasting so much work/opportunity is not an option for a bounty hunter.

after I observe and check your profile, I think it's natural that you are not paid by campaign manager. I see you are creating more report posts for social media than creating fairly active and quality posts. this is what you need to know correctly and self-correct. try to be more active and share more educational knowledge.

Most of us experience that kimd of problem if you see theres a huge number of ico project launched in this forum but who knows which of this is a legit project that will pay your work for me before joining in any kind of bounty campaign make sure the manager is trusted and have experience to manage that kind of bounty in that case you will avoid to join on scam ico project.

Yes, you need to research the project and choose those that are trustworthy. Also, the higher rank bounty manager has, the higher your chance of being paid. But of course you can never know for sure. But these steps will reduce your risks to the minimum.

That's really a  thing to find out.If anyone know it before tthat which would pay promptly, then almost 90% of bitcoin members would just join bounty campaigns as their payments are very high when compared to signature campaign. We could just try to join in bounties which were carried out by institutional companies as they would be well established in the market and they would not be willing to spoil their reputation by not paying the participants.

The wisest way would be choosing a project with a highly trusted campaign manager. Not all high ranking Bitcointalk account is credible manager. Manager such as Atriz, Yahoo, Julerz and manager who already handled project is potential for a bounty campaign that really succeed. And also take a lot of reading about the project you are joining, not all projects are legit in fact most of it are just meant for scamming.

I have been for many years and i do bountry campaign since i start in this kind of world and luckily i don't encpunter a problem like that. The you are not pay by those campaign. So i would like to know it too so for the next time i do bounty maybe i can used this. Somebody can post about the ways.

Ill be picky about bounty campaigns, i only pick campaign from trusted manager like Blockeye, needmoney, sylon, mirallas, and any aother legendary member here, and if they not pay me ill just write a complaint at the bounty thread and the manager will fix it. some campaign need to wait until 2month after ICO so the bounties token distributed.

A bounty campaign must need a credible escrow and that escrow must have that bounty's ready payment but how can we know if the payment would be ready? We can not ask the owner of a campaign about this, And Well just like what you said a legitimate or trustworthy campaign manager will be appropriate to know if the specific campaign will surely give payments, But I think Campaign managers are humans too and may become tempted of the big amount they can get if they keep the money for themselves, Well I think there is a recent incident happen in the bounty of cartaxi that involve the manager dafar taking off with the payments needed in the cartaxi campaign.

I know the feeling that you've been scammed by the devs despite your hard work and effort to promote their ICO, some of them pay the problem is that they did not give the exact and deserve amount of tokens for their participants which is unfair, it's either their motives at first is to scam people or the project is not a success that results abandoned projects, what we can do is to lessen the risk of participating such projects by a proper research and observations.

Will we dont know on how to avoid that since we dont know if the campaign ICO will success or not. But if the ICO is success and the bounty manager did not pay you i think you can put a post in meta section you can see there the scam accusation.

Mention the name of the project that 'successful' is, who knows I can help and process it to be followed up to dt member

Hi, how unlucky you are! I think  it`s important to find out the information about the project team.In general, having more experience with cryptocurrencies means that the team will be familiar with what is already available and what potential there is to improve on the existing offerings. If it is very difficult to find additional information about the team online this is generally a negative sign.

I think you should be picky when choosing a bounty campaign to join. Also pick some campaigns that have a campaign manager/s that have a very good reputation. The bounty should have a good team of advisers and a good concept platform.

Unfortunately it impossible to avoid such bounty comaighn. Of course we should analyze the ico and bounty which we are going to take part in. But sometimes even very promising projects dont pay, or pay much less. It is the risk and we sought be ready to it.

I don't know if there's a way to check to avoid non paying most especially if the bounty campaign is not known, for you to be safe to avoid unpaid you must do research first if the bounty campaign is legit before you participate.

Yes there is, deeply research on the bounty, look into the comments and feedback, pointers such as the hunters experience participating are also important clues on whether the campaign is able to pay.however, sometimes things just go wrong and managers disappears in that case other's little you can do.

The scheme here is the same as during the choosing of the right ICO for investment. Aaand I also usually look at the ICO period. If it's about 2 or more months, I usually don't participate (as there is only a limited number of retweets you can do - you will work but nobody will count).

First if you want to get paid at every bounty you have to register in the middle or bounty campaign is almost end because at that time many information that we can got like how much is obtained when selling token and then choose project ICO that has reached softcap.

For me I think the best thing to save one's ass is to make a thorough research before rushing to join any bounty campaign. Even one may take on the luxury of checking out the ICO's white paper, roadmap and other necessary things to check for the authenticity of any campaign one want to join. With this in place, I think anyone can be saved from always having to languishing after many weeks of intense work for a campaign not rewarding at all

I think this is very difficult, because often it is up to them to decide whether to pay the bounty or not. They may use many reasons to refuse, but more is a scam that can not be avoided, just as cryptocurrency is characterized by anonymity and you No way to punish the project team, you can only remember the name, to avoid the next time to participate in their activities.

I agree. It would be difficult to have everything perfect. Every move, in this market especially, are full or risks and can lead to losses at any available alley. However, to avoid bad campaigns, I think that the most important aspect is diligence. You should check everything with due critical eye to make sure that projects you choose would lead to a success, and if not, would still get you paid. Some say that it's important to choose projects that have a product or new concept to front them, since people tend to gravitate on those new ideas instead of old ones. Also, check the developers and the management teams, if their backgrounds and trust ratings are borderline shady, then don't join in those projects.

Here are three easy things to follow that can help prevent you from getting screwed by a non-paying bounty.

1. Make sure the project is good. Check the website, whitepaper and team. If the project is good, they won't hire a scumbag to manage their bounty or have any desire to cheat you.
2. Try and pick bounties where the manager is a hero or legendary member so you know they have already done their homework before representing that bounty.
3. Check who is participating in the bounty. If you see a lot of Full Members and up, usually that is a good sign that the bounty is a good one worth your time and effort.

Best of luck, hope that helps some of you!

We don't have any way, we are the only way is to choose a good bounty managers, because a good bounty manager will be responsible for its bounty of ICO project thread, so you can receive your should get the bounty token.

As you said! Maybe the only way to avoid those non paying bounty campaigns is to choose/pick a bounty manager with a good reputation here in bitcointalk. I remember, my first bounty campaigns (altcoins) didn't paid me and that was a bad start! So when I ranked up to Member I suddenly shift to bitcoin campaigns on services and luckily got accepted where I think I can't be.

Going back, we cannot totally avoid such campaigns you said because even campaigns manage/managed by highly reputable members here sometimes fails and fails to paid. Maybe we should focus on their team and most importantly their advisors (those who are influencial). The team will make all things possible and not the bounty manager. Hence, don't always use bounty managers as a basis.  Wink

I don't there is anything like that, but I'll suggest there should be a particular flag that will show on thread of each bounty which will indicate how good the bounty is.

we dont really need to have a particular flag for us to know if the bounty campaigns you are joining is good or bad, you need to do your own research about the Campaigns you are joining, that is why many of bounty hunters like you are being scammed and being used for free because of laziness to search and know more about the ICO you are advertising.

I haven ever experienced such though, but if something of that nature happens, it is at the discretion of those who own the project, to decide whether to pay their supporters or not. Although this will go a long way to affect the bounty manager that handled such project, because his integrity will be at stake.

Well bounty is a risk too, you are not spending any amount and just to invest time and effort, after those we are not sure if the ICO will pay us (hunters)
as long as their payment not on our wallet we are always not 100% sure about them paying us.
You are good to stick with those bounty managers who have good records, i am doing the same too.
I think this is the only way to avoid scam bounty campaigns. Joining a bounty campaign is like investing the ICO but we only invest with effort. I felt the same like scammed when I cant receive any payment after the bounty period from them lol .

I think the best way is to just be thorough and critical with choosing your projects. You see there are so many bounty campaigns popping in a daily basis, some are new and have potential to prosper, but most of them, are washed-out copies of old concepts that has been released before that do not have any chance of booming. So, use all the checks and guides you have to see if a projects even has a chance to make it past the marketing stage and really make a mark in the real market.

Being picky about bounties may prevent from them. Bounty amounts must be realistic. Pool should be less than %2. I choose bounty campaign like i choose to invest in ico. Same principals valid for both.

So you can take a few more hot ICO project's bounty thread, so most of the time they will pay on time, because they completed the ICO the raise of the project, then they will pay the bounty.
