Apparently OP isn't having too much luck with the girls, why else would he have created this thread?

I'm not 100% sure of OP's gender, but Gabrielle (which is OP's username) is a girl's name (or at least, all the Gabrielles I've ever known are female).

Not having too much luck with the girls isn't something most girls consider unlucky.

I think you'll find that the vocal members of the Bitcoin community fall into some very distinguishable categories at the moment.
First there are the people who are actually benefiting - People who sunk money into mining rigs or BTC business endeavors and through what is honestly a bizarre twist of fate have found themselves rolling in imaginary coins that are actually profitable at this time.
Next you have the people who see the first group of succesful people and try to pursue their glory - these people see bitcoins are a serious entity made evidently legitimate by the people actually making money right now. These are the people who are probably going to liquidate everything they own in an ultimately disappointing pursuit of bitcoin riches.
Then there are the people who see bitcoins as a niche, fun entity who don't mind sinking their free time into something experimental and even a little bit historical. But overall, for fun.

As long as you don't take this all too seriously, there is a lot of fun to be had.

haha. This sounds like a trollish OP, but yeah. I started mining on my existing graphics card, never planned to buy any hardware to mine faster, and never purchased bitcoins. I don't salivate over bitcoins as the currency of the future, and really, I just got interested because of the opportunity for easy money with very little risk (since my only investment has been the added electricity cost mining incurs.)

yeah, it spurred me into putting my 5850's on eBay, started working out more, and have been more productive with other hobbies.

In the end, there is no such thing as free money like so many people think this is. I enjoy gaming and like to have a great experience with that, and like to have a nice cool apartment to go home to after a day's work. Running several hundred watts full blast in the summer is ridiculous.

Maybe I will come back in the winter sometime....

people here sound very excited and about how it changed their life, poured their life savings into graphics cards etc...

anyone else like me first heard of bitcoins, yawned a few times, bought a couple for experiment, thought it was ho-hum, then went on with our lives in real life?

you know, things like talking to girls and fucking them rather than obsessing about bitcoins on some forum sitting in front of the computer?
