What if I knew Bitcoin around 2010. I would have more fun seeing how much Bitcoin progresses than getting rich. What do you think is going to develop tremendously in the future? Please leave your comments. Maybe someone will get it right?

IF there's people can guess the next coin that experience the same on what happen to bitcoin for sure he became rich and will not bother to discuss anything related to any pure speculation discussion since he already know for his self that what coin he's going to have. But since no one can accurately guess that then for sure there would be a long discussion about that and you can start to have on those top coins since they have more better chance to get a big pumps compare to other new coins or just been long time sleeping without getting any hype around.

Hope you learn a lesson before and now you do good actions since its never to late for acquiring those potential alts since they have good chance to pump together with bitcoin.

The only thing we can do now is to acquire as much as we can then think smart regarding on decisions we want to take.

Yes, there are thousands of other projects apart from Bitcoin. Take for example that which is also possible in the future. The price of Bitcoin was not like this before. Look how much was the price of Bitcoin in 2010. And we will see how much its price is, so it all happens time to time, in this way, Ethereum is second to Bitcoin, which means that in the future we can also see it compared to it. But since nothing can be said ahead of time, there are thousands of projects that we haven't seen yet but in future may be it's compare to bitcoin.

There are actually good competitors of bitcoin in the market, but when it comes to price sustainability, I can’t think even better than bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king of the crypto market, that makes it probably getting the highest edge over the others. If you are hesitant to invest in bitcoin, take time to DYOR first.

The important thing is you need to trust your investment, regardless if it’s bitcoin or not. Otherwise, you won’t manage to win over those risks if you are not completely trusting your own investment.

I think cryptos with features not supported by Bitcoin could be promising. Many technologies and features are emerging in the crypto universe and are not available in the BTC unfortunately : Web3, DeFi, GameFi, DAO, NFT, smart contracts, dApps, tokens, obfuscation, instant payments/transactions, cheap ones. One of them offering it could be the next Bitcoin. But marketing/adoption is also important and we know Elon Musk had plans for developping the economy of Dogecoin for example

responding to your topic; For now, NO! A couple of forked coins do have similar properties as compared to Bitcoin... The big difference there is the rapid increase overtime, which hasn't been measured in any of those coin with the same properties just yet. I haven't heard of the government trying to stop any altcoin projects - it's not done for obvious reasons.

What will develop tremendously in the future I can categorically said nothing but Bitcoin and crypto currency or do you have plans of introducing anything that take over bitcoin, the evidence is very clear you have how long bitcoin have come to stay all other shiltcoin altcoin etc are coming in on daily basis but keep falling.

If you had known about Bitcoin in 2010, you would be exactly where you are today. But there is nothing to regret, you started much better than where you started. Go ahead with your strong will hope you can do great things from now on. Because Bitcoin is still the best position to invest in, this bitcoin will gain a better position in the future as we can understand by its popularity and people's investment style.

The same thought you have now about bitcoin is what people that knew about it even after 2010 also had and they had to sell it in few years later when the price was not even x2 of what they bought it at the time. We humans always have this thought in mind of “what if” and that has made a lot of people taken  some decisions in the crypto space that they wish they hadn’t. With the fast pace and rise of bitcoin from 2010 till now, it has already ascertain for itself to be a dependable token that will make one rich if invested and wait patiently for it to grow. In thought of fear of it not to grow again in the future, a lot of people take profit and buy again when the price dips which I think is one of the best technique to use when you’re holding for long term.

Well, if we're not talking strictly about cryptocurrencies, I think AI and related technologies seem poised for huge growth over the next decade or so.  AI already seriously affects many industries, and I think this impact just keeps getting bigger down the road.

Self-driving cars and drones, virtual personal assistants, smart homes, greater automation of industry and agriculture... I have a feeling that we will finally experience the future we have only known from sci-fi novels and movies.

Op all depends on the unit or the total number of bitcoin you bought at that. It might be that you are still holding them now because some of the people that got it at that early stage are still hodling some percentage therefore you might have hodling some percentages or unit of bitcoin by now or you would have sold them off either because of fear or for the bull time at that period of 2016 or 2021.

But if you understand bitcoin from that time till now and you still have them in your wallet and all your security information are intact then you are a billionaire though all depends on the amount of bitcoin you have as I said earlier.

Comparing 14 years ago is meaningless, you will not think of being rich because most people at that time bitcoin was trash, and many people fantasize that if they go back to 2010 they can change their lives now, but the past is not the future.

Altcoin is more innovation that comes up but it will not match your bitcoin there will get a big ROI if you find it right, but I will not be fully in altcoin because however comes a new project a few years down due to failure.

You HODL bitcoin now 10 years in the future, you might be rich and see the rapid development of bitcoin.

Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves on this one because at the end of the day, things like this can't happen again and even if we're familiar with bitcoin from a few years earlier that doesn't mean we'll be there that year.
There are no guarantees about it let alone to be someone who will confidently be in bitcoin at the beginning of the creation of bitcoin.

We know things like this even though it seems absurd but in the end the fact that we still don't necessarily accept bitcoin and will even do other silly things like exchanging bitcoin for game vouchers or pizza like what has happened by previous people is likely to happen because the price of bitcoin at that time was not what it is now so regardless of whether you know bitcoin today or even a decade earlier it will not be a guarantee that you will be in bitcoin in the end.

My brother, you are right, but if you want to invest at that time, i.e. at a low price, then according to my estimate, your conscience does not give you permission so that this does not happen. You should not lose blah blah because at that time you were not familiar with Bitcoin and did not understand the concept. Despite that, some people must have bought Bitcoin at that time because they must have understood that, in terms of technicality, it can really give a good return in the future or in your words, it can make them rich. However, it means to say that those who were going to buy believed in Bitcion and bought it at that time, and they did not hesitate to buy and those who were not going to buy did not buy at that time either. After that they used to complain, and now they only talk instead of buying. Those people are regraters; their only job is crying and regrating, they don't want to be serious, that grab the opportunity instead of regrating.

Personally, I prefer to buy Bitcoin on opportunity, i.e., in a dip, and don't have regrets about the past; I only think about how to solve them or how to survive against them. because regrets or crying about the past are weak man shows. So have confidence and trust in yourself, and beyond any doubt, it will give you positive feedback.

haha exactly what I was thinking when I read the OP's comment.

Asking if there is anything else like bitcoin, then only asks what is going to develop in the future...I don't even know if he is talking about how bitcoin is going to develop or if someone else will be invented that's like bitcoin. Very vague haha

what's the guarantee that if you are one of the early Bitcoin holders you would have not sold it within few years of its existence or give up on it without knowing shit about your seed phrase? It's easy to make assumption on what you would have done if you were part of the early Bitcoin holders but now that you're part of this current generation that are witnessing the spread of bitcoin around the glob, what are you doing about it? Are you still wishing you were part of what had come and gone with little prospect or you should be happy that you're part of those that have witness it popularity and massive use.

So many persons that were probably passionate about bitcoin adoption in those period of inception have moved on to doing other things and might probably not give an F about how bitcoin is doing now but you-know that it doesn't really change the fact that bitcoin have come to stay and it value will constantly become bullish.

I think some sort of blockchain that used mining to power artificial intelligence instead of just secure a blockchain would be interesting. Surely there’s demand for entities that want to pay for additional processing power right now. Many of them are spending billions to build their own artificial intelligence networks now.

I always hear people talk about how they would have become super rich if they had known Bitcoin earlier. The question that always comes into my mind is whether they would have been able to keep the coin to date. I doubt if I would have kept mine when the price increased to even $1000. I also wouldn't have withstood the massive FUD that swept across the Bitcoin space at the early stage. Each time I am privileged to meet some hodlers, I see them as very brave people who believe in an invention when many people see it as a ruse. This set of persons believed in the unbelievable and stood their ground even in the face of several discouraging events. I think they deserve all the good things that Bitcoin offers.

Bitcoin has lasted for over a decade and it has not been displaced as the major cryptocurrency. I doubt if any new invention will ever dethrone Bitcoin, it is better to stay with the first.  Bitcoin is still in its early stages so we still have the opportunity to benefit from it. We have to keep accumulating and hodling our coins through diverse means we can. This is because many people who fail to take today's opportunity will look back after many years and regret that they failed to buy Bitcoin in 2025.

Why don't you just invest in Bitcoin, since it's the safest bet we have at this moment, instead of looking for something else nobody knows for sure if it's going to skyrocket in the following months or years? You can still make decent profit by investing in BTC right now and waiting till the next bull season.

I wouldn't look for anything else for now, since we have Bitcoin under our disposal. It's an opportunity signaling to us which shouldn't be neglected in order to pursue something more profitable. That actually would be greed from our side and rudeness towards the gift which is being offered to us.

Well come to think of it ,i think there is alot of crypto currency in the world but none has done or become as good as Bitcoin for now,and that is to say that none like Bitcoin for now,in all Bitcoin has taken over all over the world, and everywhere you go Bitcoin,it has been the hope of today and tomorrow because we strongly believe that it will never fail us,it will keep on growing strong and it market will become the best of all,

Bitcoin has bring about hope for the hopeless and smile to those who has lost hope,..as for me if there is any other like Bitcoin well I have not seen and I will like to know that who have come to be like Bitcoin and it will be interesting if there's any like that, but I do not think there's..

In all Bitcoin has no comparison with my my own point of view .

I have been around since 2014 and I don't see anything different. Things only got bigger but not different.

When it comes to technical stuff, people are still arguing about them and the community is usually polarized and we still have different types of attacks where some say is not attack and some say it is.

When it comes to price, it still is the same. People think it is the end of all rallies and the current price is the highest price it will get (yes they said that when price was $200 too) and it still keeps rising.

Things haven't changed in the altcoin scene either. We are still looking for an actual innovation, but unfortunately all the "talent" is going into creating the most profitable shitcoin with the quickest ROI.

I think the person who is most happy to see the many advances that Bitcoin has experienced is Satoshi because the magical technology he created succeeded in changing the world. There is no guarantee that you will be rich even if you buy Bitcoin in 2010, it is very difficult to resist the temptation when the price spikes, maybe you will sell Bitcoin after getting a little profit. Bitcoin has experienced rapid progress since 2010. As you said, 2024 is still early to look at a brighter future. There is no limit to Bitcoin's growth, in my opinion the only coin that will grow rapidly in the future is Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is bitcoin, I'm not sure there will be anything else like it in the future. But if you look at it from a technological perspective, of course there are lots of crypto projects that have technology similar to Bitcoin itself. The first is Litecoin, which has experienced an increase of almost 6000% from its All-Time Low [1]. Then secondly we have Kaspa there, using PoW consensus which allows full decentralization.

From the title I read, we should have this thread on a more appropriate board like: Altcoin Discussion

If I told you to invest $1,000 in buyme token, your investment would become a million dollars after 15 years. Would you do that? Opportunities come and go, but it is difficult to know whether the opportunity is golden or not because the price of Bitcoin has collapsed by more than 80% and some people thought it was a Ponzi scheme.

Buying Bitcoin as early as 2010 is never a yardstick that you'd have been rich. There are some persons who bought Bitcoin during this period but they sold their coin later because they never believed in the technology.

Within a span of 15 years Bitcoin has been able to attained greater heights, a coin that started trading at few cent is now being sold at S42k, the future is certainly bright. Currently, there are many copycats but I don't think there's going to any coin like Bitcoin in the future.

Yes we have it, that's Litecoin.

Open source, limited supply, decentralized, transparent, and have an option to improve privacy, these all the things that Bitcoin have isn't?

But if you ask a coin that was worthless and now the price able to reach $40K per each coin, no one can answer it or they will shill their shitcoins.

I would recommend you to always read twice or thrice if you are not able to understand before replying to any topic.

Nothing can replace Bitcoin for the time being and if anything does then it would create a history. Even the governments are now coming up with ways to harness the potential output of Bitcoin. The time is coming when Bitcoin will be traded in cryptocurrency exchanges throughout the globe and on stock markets everywhere in the world.

Let's say you get your hands on Bitcoin in 2010, I strongly believe that you would have sold everything in 2012 or max 2015, everyone is screaming about adoption bitcoin at earlier stages, as if they don't have problems that's needed to be fixed, Ninety nine percent of early adopters would have sold and take profits, like some developers of new projects today that mined thousands of Bitcoin, they gave out to some friends and they sold the remaining, this is not weird to me, it's normal, we are human after all.

There are thousands of Crypto projects today, I am just wondering why they haven't been anyone that has done better than Bitcoin still, so why should we bother about something better than Bitcoin when its proven that nothing does it better? Or are you one of those people who sees Bitcoin as an overpriced asset?

What will you do if you don't buy today and in future Bitcoin is selling for 500k? Still looking for something better and it never come, stop looking bro, there is still enough time right now.
