When you are doing research there is also market indicators that you should be considering as well, what you have researched so far is how to find a coin thats on the market, that leaves you with eliminated all the ones on the market that have bad indicators as well. BNB is a good one, it has a utility and a reason to buy and it is actually cool to have because even if you don't want to sell it, you can use it.

However, looking at others there are some troubles with all of them even on the most basic levels, for example tezos has good volume and marketcap but looking at thorecoin that has very low marketcap and only a decent volume, titan literally has less than 1 bitcoin volume and thats something you should stay away from at all costs, bytom has a decent volume for its size but it has low marketcap.

So, BNB is the only one I would suggest with maybe tezos and bytom along with it but stay away from thore and titan for sure.

So, I was looking for some altcoins to invest in and many experts here advised me to do my research before investing in any new coin. In fact, most people to whom I asked advice in this regard told me to thoroughly research a new coin before investing in it. Fair enough. So, now my question is how exactly I do that.

I was reading online and found a few blogs that talk about the factors to consider while evaluating a new cryptocurrency or project.  Factors that include research on Crypto coin based on a number of things such as the purpose, use of blockchain, coin economics, usage, team, etc.

Is there anything else that I should be looking for or are these the only factors to consider?

I challenge you to research these coins according to your factors:

Tezos (XTZ)  (Check on coinmarketcap)
ThoreCoin (THR)  (Check on coinmarketcap)
Titan Coin (TTN)  (Check on coinmarketcap)
Binance Coin (BNB)  (Check on coinmarketcap)
Bytom (BTM)   (Check on coinmarketcap)

Let's see who have the best and relevant researching skills in the crypto market.

What about the most important factor?
You need to research on what tomorrow brings for such project, before raising your hope for investment.

You need to find out a lot than the popular names you just listed

All these are good factors that you have shared mate but there is one thing and most important of it all that investors tend to forget. Does the use case(s) have any real world problem that is directed to solving? For instance bitcoin was created to solve the flaws of fiat currency. Now ask yourself what problem is this use case of the project going to solve and is there a ready market for your product if it comes live. This way you know whether you are holding for long are going to sell off in a short time.

All the factors you have mentioned are really important in researching a coin, but I usually check for the team: whenever I see a new coin that I pick up interest in, I always ask myself “oh, who are the team that are running this project” and that’s where I go straight to know who they are.

As usual, on their site, they will write a brief bio about the CEO, deputy, and the rest of them, I start with the CEO and LinkedIn is the most important social platform for me, I don’t look at Twitter or other, I believe that every professional who really knows what they are doing today is supposed to have a LinkedIn account for their business. So I check for their LinkedIn to see who they truly are and what they are into, and also how long they have been active on the platform. Every small detail is important to me.

Are you fully satisfied with all of the altcoins you have chosen? Is not there an issue or something? IMO you could also add the long available altcoins such as ETH or XMR. Also I did not see BTC on your list. As far as I can see, you have not fully checked the market, and these shortcomings may be factors that will make you lose or gain less in the future.

let's start with BNB
$ 2 billion market cap
price $ 15
the volume is also high, and the most important thing is the circulation supply from the binance coin almost reaches the total supply. for long-term investment, this is very good when seen from the supply and demands. it means that binance has a high enough liquidity and that will make the volume of binance continue to rise so that prices will continue to pump up.

Determine what your investment target is like? How long do you want? Long term and short term will obviously be different factors that will affect.
All factors depend on the initial setup that suits your purpose. BNB for the long term is pretty good with their continuous development. For other coins I'm not sure, maybe it still works if used for short-term investments.

The coin you mentioned is already on the exchange, is also valid, and in my opinion is still worth investing for now, but keep in mind that the risk needs to be reconsidered. I just remind, don't forget bitcoin as the main thing of all. Alt for now is very profitable, even you can get up to 10X returns in some time, so the greater the profit, the greater the risk, that's crypto. of all the coins the OP mentioned, only ThoreCoin (THR) impressed me.

You are giving the examples as already existing project so its more easier for anyone to say what is the good project at the moment in terms of profits but what is the new project which is something under development and didn't hit any exchanges yet for public sale.

Do they have a reliable product to keep all of them alive? If you plan to invest for a long time, I think you should reconsider your choices. For example, how will bnb survive when binance becomes weak? Apart from being a POS coin, what is the product of XTZ? Look at this topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53532331

The biggest factor that contributes to a coin's success is this: how many exchanges are they listed on? The more exchanges it is listed on, the safer the coin, and the more liquid, plus the more access to investors.

I've seen coins just die when Mintpal and Cryptsy went bust, because those were the only exchanges they were listed on.

So for your list of coins you are thinking of buying, so through coinmarketcap and work out how many exchanges they are listed on. The coin with the most listings is then your top buy.

There is something that else that you must consider it as factors to determine how good the altcoin is and that must be liquidity, demand for the blockchain, and many more.

According from your list and Binance is the only the best coin which is having real usability to bring the users discount when we are trading on the binance exchange site.

It looks like you are shilling for titan and you can deny this if you are not. But what the developer of titan has been saying about their own platform just BS.

A very very small marketcap and almost zero daily trade volume don't forget about the zero price too. If the developer of titan is saying if volume , price and valuation of the platform (marketcap) are not important things and that's a big BS.

There is no guarantee answer you are going to get from any one because crypto can be very unpredictable, tezos and bnb token for me all the way, titan coin is not up to me standard in terms of real use cases but can be profitable, either ways the choice is yours to make

I have been reading on multiple comunities and gathering data about the top trending coins for investment. So far, what most people have suggested is that I should invest only in top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and ETH, because one cannot simply trust the new coins. I agree on that part. But my concern is the high price volatility of these coins. I want to invest in short term and can't afford to take risk with such highly unstable coins.

Many experts have also advised me to do my research before investing in a new coin. I did that and found out about one or two coins which seem really genuine and worth my time and money. For instance, Titan Coin presents a good enough case in the form of an altcoin which works similar to bitcoin.

I also checked announcement thread of titan projects on bitcointalk, according to which they are regularly launching apps, exchange is also coming. What I mean by that is they are progressing in development part and other forums and media are also talking good future about the project.

What is your take on this?

It seems that there is no more accurate factor about the coins you mentioned, `all have different prices from good developers and continue to innovate in their products.
I always search from the source of the article and a few foum here to see some factors and that I examine again until I find accuracy for me.
Maybe you mean the 5 coins are still worth investing.

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
Crypto market is very volatile, crypto market runs on news such as government announcement, project developments, partnership etc & trends such as upcoming project news such as testnet, mainnet, fork etc. Due this trends or news prices of coins can go up or down any time depends on whether it was positive or negative, that is why research is important but first you need to set your stand are you planning to invest long term or short-term.
