I hope that, idk when, there will be an exchange that will implement  Mt4/MT5 platform in their services. The MT4/MT5 community is huge. If any exchanges wants to use MT4/MT5 platform on their services and did advertise in there, I am sure many forex traders willing to plunge to crypto trading.

The BTC/USD trading feature has been on the MT4 platform since 2018 with a higher level of leverage than common crypto derivatives exchanges. That's the weakness, there's only BTC/USD pair. If there is an exchanges that wants to make a breakthrough by advertising in the forex trader community massively and accompanied implementing their services with platform that has same quality (feature) as MT4/ MT5, i can't imagine how big potential market can get by that exchanges.

Wait. So all this while, there is no desktop trading app for crypto? I wouldn't know as I don't trade but for forex you have loads of them, I would have thought by now at least someone in crypto has that kind of full software for desktop applications.

How do professional crypto traders trade then?

I know a mobile app called Tabtrader, but it's not available for PC. Not sure if it suits your purpose but you can run an emulator if you're interested. It only support the standar order type such as stop-loss or take profit though.
OP needs an App where he can assign trading actions to specific keys or key combinations (more like shortcuts). So with any mobile app. This is not possible.

I would agree that trading bots are the way to go when you want to automate things, trading itself is already a difficult thing to handle and when you are talking about something like this, we are talking about making everything ready and one click button thing, while you are there you could make it not even a click but automated and that would take things just one step further at that point and you could make a profit even while you are sleeping if you know how to use the bot and the bot itself works properly. That is obviously for people who know what they are doing and not for people who do not know what to do and when to do it.

At the end of the day desktop applications were never something requested too much hence why they are not existing right now, if they were requested a lot, there would be people who would make it to just profit and sell it.

Honestly, this is the first time I saw a hotkey meant for trading purposes.

Isn't it way more convenient than using a trading bot wherein majority of trading platforms are supported?

No need to record keystrokes or something along those lines.

Is there no real full fledged desktop application that takes advantage of API of popular exchanges like BitMEX, Binance that have UI that are severly lacking and impering?
Something that would at least provide functionnalities like hotkeys and advanced orders like https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/tws/usersguidebook/configuretws/hotkeys.htm or on DAS Trader Pro do.
I would be down to pay 50$ a month for that.
