I think that Bitcoin  is still ongoing process and until everything complete, it's still a lot things to talk about, like how to help it to become mainstream, how to reach merchants, about regulations, government issues, taxes etc.

I'd like all these little shareware programmers to incorporate bitcoin in their payment methods.

There are so many innovative Apps out there, and most of them only accept credit card and PayPal. Once someone starts to target these guys, you would see an explosion in BTC adoption and further development and innovation in BTC Apps.

Not even the most dominant Anti virus software out there support BTC as yet, and we use that every day.  Sad

That would be interesting to get some antivirus companies on board, I have heard that when you scan your computer it flags virtual currency programs.

Yes, there is still more to talk about

At the base level, there is still more to come from the developers
Above that there will be more implementations by companies to fix barrier to entry
Above that there's all of the regulation and government issues.

But there is a lot of noise I agree

That's how life works: You say something and people simply forget it. So you have to say it again. Smiley

But honestly I don't think, that everything has been said in regard to bitcoin. There are a lot of things happening in the bitcoin universe that are worth being discussed.

Of course there's a lot of redundancy, because new people enter the bitcoin world everyday that will have some of the same questions you might have had when you first learned about bitcoin.

there is always news on bitcoin
as bitcoin is new and will evolve over time
news will reflect this that we can talk about

Do you feel it is a good thing for bitcoin to evolve? It is always hard to gauge how changes on even a low budget video game or movie will affect the overall product.

the point in this forum is to provide information to both new bitcoin users and older ones - especially since news is not static and there is breaking news that comes out often.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
The obvious response is that people are still finding some new things to talk about, which is why this place is generally so busy.  Whether all the topics discussed are actually useful or not is another matter entirely.   Smiley

There are certain topics that have been done to death like 'bits', '51%' and the like.  Some of the altcoin copy/paste clone stuff is getting repetitive too.  You're probably right about the speculation side of things being more prevalent than the innovation side, which is a shame, but not unexpected.  Overall, though, I'd say there's still enough worthwhile topics that can still create interesting discussions and new ideas.  Then there's the newsworthy stuff making headlines around the world, which somehow invariably results in more than one thread because people don't seem to read the 'Press' subforum and decide to post it in 'Bitcoin Discussion' as well.

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
I agree that some of the threads become redundant... like

"Is this the end of BTC??"

"Are we crashing and never returning??"

"Do women, females, girls use BTC?"

"How much is BTC going to be worth on... (insert date here)?"

"Do you believe that 1 BTC could be worth... (insert atrociously high number here)?"

Even so, there is new stuff to read and discuss every day.   I think everyone can learn at least something from being here...

I agree with your point about the value of BTC.  There was a certain amount of money to be made and it very well could be over.  All the big business that gets involved with Bitcoin would probably prefer that it maintains its same value and doesn't fluctuate too much.

I think people are always having new ideas and this board is great for that, along with news and telling newer people how it works.

??

Is there actually anything left to say? If so what is it? If not, why? Unless a major innovation comes outta nowhere like BTC did to begin with, I don't believe much more will happen with BTC. I am for it, but I feel like the only people that are mostly in here are all about making profit off it.

Also before I forget, just because something has a 100 million dollars in transactions per day and is worth X doesn't mean if it goes to 1 billion dollars in transactions per day it will increase by X. It still COULD be worth the same amount, that is generally what currencies do, they stay stable no matter how much it is traded(for the most part). So yall who are like "BTC will be worth 100k USD or EUR each", yeah it will be when a candy bar cost 1,000 USD/EUR each maybe.

just Sayain.
