What if this is a genuine bitcoin lover who possibly knows wrong thing about bitcoin, possibly learned those from wrong source but now here with us. We should allow him and be with us, take him as one of us and let him to learn in his own way instead of judging him in advance (saying bad stuffs which I have seen on the other thread).

It's a great lesson to those who very easily classify newbie users as scmers or just don't believe them.
This is what i was thinking too. We shouldn't be too quick to judge newbie profiles. Just because the profile is a newbie rank doesn't mean someone doesn't know anything about bitcoin or how forums operate. I checked his posting history and the person seems to be knowledgeable and a bitcoin lover unlike most newbie accounts that just register to make bounty reports or promote scam links.

I don't see anything Odd about the profile.

I think too however, still it is the same rule breaking offense regardless of any section. The guy has posted there only for the incentive. We have seen Bitdice (Not sure) thread to be locked due to the same reason.
It could belong in the "Games and Rounds" section, where it's somehow allowed. Nevertheless, that user has been posting strange stuff for a couple of days.

I've seen him posting a "guide" on how to install a Core node, but said guide was really old, and surprisingly similar to another one I had found from some years ago... thread got trashed. He is also making questions about how to launch a hardware wallet, but he made another post claiming web wallets were the best (got trashed too)....

There is definately something odd going on with that account; or maybe the user is simple odd and does strange stuff per se. On the meantime, most we can do is report the posts that break the rules, since he is not scamming anyone
I have not seen his post history or anything else but after reading the op I did visit his thread in question and I found the user indeed kept his promise. I left a comment in that topic and also left a neutral feedback for him since he said he will come up with more games like this.

According to theymos:
Yes, incentivizing posting is totally disallowed in the altcoin sections, and in the other sections it must be confined to Games and Rounds.
So OP made that post in the wrong section. The post was not made specifically to increase post count on the thread, so maybe a ban would be heavy, but I would report the thread as being off topic.

Yeah, It is just posted in the wrong section also I never see someone getting ban from posting in the wrong section unless it has something to do with scamming or illegal things.

I don't think he is a scammer at his post since the rules were clear. But it might make someone a scammer  Grin Grin

I don't think he deserves any ban and besides he wanted only the first person who posted which doesn't promote spam in any way.
He was giving way the bitcoins with no strings attached of which the process ended up to donating to the good cause according to the developments in the thread.

Does this deserbe a ban?
No.

The "no altcoin giveaways" rule was made because of the massive spam it produced. Let's not start banning people who offer to give away Bitcoins. I read the topic, cryptoworld99 offered to give away Bitcoin. He did it on the wrong board, but let's not start banning people for that!
If giving away Bitcoin ever becomes so widespread that it is considered spam, I couldn't be happier Cheesy

IMO, first let's we wait the OP is send his funds to minairia3 (the first response). If he doesn't send the $40 to minairia3, he deserve red tagged from DT Member because he was trying to scam people
Are you looking for people to tag  Grin That's off topic here and you can later create another topic in reputation.

In this thread, OP asked someone to post and the first person to post will get the reward. According to the rules, anyone posting in a particular thread for the purpose of getting incentive is a ban worthy offense. Does this deserbe a ban?
