The First time I experienced this I have to check my email notification settings and reset it. Ever since then I have not come across any of such.

I enabled new topic notifications to see how it works and received an email a few minutes ago.
What you are referring to is not a bug. That's how it should work.
I guess you haven't noticed the message displayed in notification emails.

Same thing applies to posts...

More replies may be posted, but you won't receive any more notifications until you read the topic.

But what I noticed you don’t need to visit the topic or post using link “topicseen#new”. Just regular visit to the topic or post is enough to keep receiving notifications.

It seems that, unfortunately, it's a default forum setting that cannot be changed.
That setting is most probably in place to avoid spamming users email as it requires an action from you to continue sending notifications.
Most forget to opt out of such services when they are no longer using them or become inactive, so it becomes necessary to avoid spamming their inbox.
It could be a minor discomfort for those who actually use the notification service but has its merits.

After an active day with frequent clicking on new threads, there are times I will still see new threads that I wasn't notified of through email. Although, it is not frequent at all, but it do happens.

But I am thinking this could be as a result of not visiting the notified new threads as fast as possible, this makes your post valid.

On gmail, depends on the title of the thread coz it's the the subject of the email, it sometimes automatically moved to promotions tab or forum tab and sometimes if flagged by gmail it is directly moved to spam, that's why I can't see it on primary tab and thinking I didn't receive some email. But rarely I didn't received at all, maybe its the forum mail server issue.

I never once had Bitcointalk emails redirected to promotions or spam, they all went to the primary folder.

The gmail I used for my Bitcointalk account has never received any spam message before, it only do receive notifications of new threads from this forum only which are always in the primaries, I checked it now and no spam message. The promotion section is not active at all, only two messages were there which were from notification from this forum also (one from marketplace and the other from inbox PM). Although, the notification messages of new threads I do get is more than enough or too many for me to be visiting all, so I do not see it as an issue.

Though I have not experience such, I think the problem should be from your setting. I suggest you check your email setting to be sure the problem is not coming from your end.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.

What I noticed is that I do not get notification at times if a new thread has been created on a board I am watching, but this is not that usual.

For example: If a new thread is created on a section I am following, I'll have to either open the link or simply stop getting notified about that section until I revisit it. I may read the email after a couple of hours and miss other threads that were created within that period. Thus, I ain't getting notified for (most of the) threads that I'm interested in. I was wondering if I'm the only one with that issue.

My device do update new email messages and I do not think it is the problem, but likely something may be wrong somewhere that makes us miss receiving some new threads email notification messages.

I'm generally using my email to get notified for new replies on my posts or for new threads on sections I'm watching. Once I get the notification, I'll have to open the topicseen#new link, otherwise I'll stop getting notified about that thread.

The problem is that while I can visit the forum and check the “Show new replies to your posts.” whenever I want to see the replies to my posts, I don't have an alternative for the watching sections.

For example: If a new thread is created on a section I am following, I'll have to either open the link or simply stop getting notified about that section until I revisit it.
