I guess I owe everyone here an apology for posting without doing enough research  Cry, D**n  they are good at making their project look good was caught by surprise, this is a big flag, faking their team profile, even if they have a good platform faking a project is a big no no .

The thing is that you can't really appreciate or label immediately a project to be genuine because of that.
In this case, that pic is obviously raising concerns, the only way they could try to redeem themselves is that they don't have that many members or are all Vietnamese and they've tried to look like an international project, of course, not excusable in the end. A lie is still a lie.

Anyone could start such a project, put some older pictures of their family that you won't find on the entire internet, pay 100 euros to set up an LLC business, 200$ for videos on fiver, another 100$ for a whitepaper and there you have it, nobody would be able to get any sort of proof against it.

Right now that about us page rather is more acting as a filter, catching the ones that make ridiculous mistakes, just peeling off the extreme liars, but not guaranteeing anything else.

I guess you are in the wrong section, you are not accusing a certain project but you are asking whether it's legit or not.

I believe the right section is the Reputation.
No, it's become a scam allegation when @stompix discovers the fake team photos. But such topics more fit into the investigation section if not any evidence either the project possible scam or not.

Anyway, since they have been using fake photos, means I can't trust them with a penny. It didn't matter to me if there was no team, it doesn't require a team for a decentralized cryptocurrency project. But they are trying to make us fool and skip with the funds. This is an immediate red flag. Just stay away, no need for any future investigations.
They deserve their place here and OP can change the title to " This project is scam or fake" it's better to include the name of the project, and once they create an announcement here, a flag will be ready for them, this could be the reason why they don't want to create an announcement here, they will be investigated and they will be caught.

People sometimes approach us to review their projects and post on our site. We're trying to avoid promoting scams. Could someone check up this project for me with regards to its authenticity?

https://dragonsea.io/ - There is a slight variation in the names on the website and LinkedIn

Seems everyone is starting one NFT collectible site or the other. How do we know which are genuine?

You're posting this in the wrong section you don't have an accusation on this project, it's unfair on their part to post their project here, you can post it in the altcoin section and let investor check if it's a good project to invest

I've checked their about us https://dragonsea.io/about.html and they are legit I'm neutral on this one it will need an in-depth analysis to check if the site has good potential, unfortunately, they don't have an official announcement here.

Opensea ----> Dragon sea

Looks like another copycat project that does not have genuine intentions. It's just mostly riding on the hype to create quick profits or even just scam people. This calls for more due diligence and research to be carried on Dragonsea before you can advertise them. The devil is always in the detail.

That's how it goes, and that's how scammers usually operate; they find whatever is popular at the moment and stick to it. Regarding checking whether project is genuine or not, few simple things that you can do is reverse image search team members (if they are doxxed, which are often not), check whitepaper for plagiarism, lack of info on the site (especially tokenomics).

I glanced over their site and at first it seems ok, it's hard to say without more in-depth check up. One thing is weird though; on their twitter they keep announcing that token will be listed on PancakeSwap on November 18th, but for some reason it's already being traded there since last night.
