In this particular case I would have asked them to sign a message from the address they used in the deal with Blazed and let Blazed verify that.

That would be enough for me to establish that the account didn't change owner since then. And whoever owned the account at that time I would (sort of) trust. I'd still want to see some form of identification, because I like to know who I'm dealing with. But that's just me.

As a rule of thumb I'd go the discreet way before posting a public thread. I learned from experience that just posting everything in public right away is generally not appreciated by the other party.

oh no i didnt not open the thread to go against him, i am just saving my ass from being 2bitcoin down.

again a common example. kfc show you the food in a picture, then you pay for it and get it.
if you only know the name of the food without visual confirmation, will you buy it? and the food costs $800

the pharmacist, the guy coinmonster is good. i was worried a bit about tracking not showing online the first 2 days but once it reached another facility it went online straight. and i felt relieved (but worried about what was coming through the mail tho lol) but all went ok.

both sebastian and coinmonster were great to communicate with.

oh i have decided for sure.

without visual confirmation and a note of the sellers username on a paper on the miner. nothing will be done. i am spending nearly $1300. not $2 bread.

Mexxer makes good points, and I'd like to suggest that if it feels wrong to you, don't do it and don't give it another thought.  Just walk away, and you can sleep easier doing this.  Other opportunities will present themselves, believe me.  Good luck whatever you decide.

Also, glad that other transaction worked out for you thru the mail.

You're doing the right thing OP. One or two trust feedbacks, here mean, just an extra 0.1 or 0.2 while buying an account. Only consolation with escrows is that they have built enough reputation, so a deal lower than what their  reputation costs, will not be scammed. Outside escrows are easily(not that easily but you get the point) manipulable. Trade as if the other person is looking for an opportunity to scam
Also seems fishy that he is
1) Not showing proof of claimed items
2) Nagging for 3rd party escrow.
The "I'm angry because you opened a thread against me" part is understandable

It's not the red trust what makes me reluctant of trading with you, but the misinterpretation of the whole situation and how you made a big deal out of this, just saw your thread, and im not willing to trade with you even if you sent me the whole Bitcoins first. The reason why i dont have the miners in touch atm is because i have to go grab them from store, so your blind acussations are rather offensive and disrespectful. I wish you all the best, and goodluck finding your seller.

If you change your mind and accept your mistake, count me in the deal. But will only be dealing via Localbitcoins escrow. Good luck !

2 messages from the seller. no i will accept escrow only from here.

if i am buying something at walmart, i dont go to kfc to pay for it.

vouch or no vouch, all i need is to protect myself. and yes i agree that i prefer to deal on here itself. there are very good escrows like sebastianJu, devthedev amongst others.

but the guy doesnt want to deal with people here and i dont want to deal with people outside of here.

i mean there is something logical, if you want to sell something why will it be 50miles away from you? o.O i also said i will escrow 2 btc so that he just provide me with a few pictures and a video of the miners running.

i cant send money in the blind without even knowing if the miners will work. and then when it arrives at my place if it does, and that it doesnt work the seller will say i broke it, or he will not accept return.

no thats not possible.

if the guy wants to have an agreement, we will have it on here in public.

also first he says i need to send him half the payment,
and i feel that the way i replied to this comment made him say the lbc escrow thing. else he would have wanted the payment be sent to him first then he will carry foreward.
If he has vouches then why don't he accept at least escrow here? Also most of the people that require to send him half of the payment first i consider them as scammer(nothing against BigJon901).
Protect yourself by using escrow that's all.
P.S devthedev is no longer offering his escrow service, so you should try SebastianJu or any other.

I've done business with Jon before, I can vouch for the guy. He sold me 2 ant miners about a year ago, deal went smooth. Good luck with everything!

is it ok for me to do this deal or not?

trust score means nothing.

i will be sending 2btc, is that safe? o.O

I would suggest dealing inside here and not outside the forum, there are many good escrows here and both of you will be protected.
