Its really hard to say for anyone as I have just given up.on predicting what might likely happen to price whether there would be an increase or a fall in price because as much as I tried to predict it, it just seems I am shooting in the wrong direction and with that I have made up my mind to letr things play out as its wishes to why I act to the best of my knowledge on the best cause of action at the present moment without having to think of what will happen next. I think that is the strategy for this period of high uncertainty.

Most probably it won't get too dip that reaching $5k, so there is nothing to worry so much mate. This correction is just temporary and it will normalized soon once FUD's will not be recognized by the community. It seems to be that Korea FUD's makes this correction very strong that may cause people worrying so much and they just sell their coins in cheap price which absolutely affect the market trend.

True, it is causing us to be in pain but having a drawing about a chart that looks like dinosaur gave me a good day after all. It is inevitable that a holder will not check his portfolio, my idea is uninstall blockfolio or any app that you are using for your portfolio.

Don't worry mate. It is very usual volatility of bitcoin. According to the fibonacci retracement it can come down till 8000usd. In case it doesn't break that level downward I don't see any problem.

But the thing is it did broke on that level lol haha. So, is there a problem now? For me, I still think that it was a great time to buy a bulk of coins.

Yes it is always not feeling good when the price is falling, but i think that this downfall will not let our confidence down, In fact it is the nature of bitcoin and we are hoping that very soon bitcoin will recover its position very soon, therefore we need to hold bitcoin and remain calm and patient.

If the price is falling then its time for us to invest. the fall in bitcoin prices this month is bad enough, I personally can not predict How long this will continue, but for that I remain calm so that no panic happens that makes the market price worse, and take advantage of this moment to buy and hold because I think bitcoin will recover soon and again increase, and maybe it will happen in early February, maybe it's just a guess

No one know what will be the next price movement not only for Bitcoin but for entire Crypto currency market as well. 2017 is a great year for Bitcoin from 1k+$ it surge to almost closed to 20k$ and now it is currently consolidating at 10-11k$ but since Bearish market hit Crypto world this consolidation may take longer or it will recover soon. Just keep up to date so we will not get behind on whats happening in bitcoin if it still goes down there is no problem for me it is a good opportunity to add more I know anytime soon price may break out. These dips and crashes happen constantly, and there is no use in looking at 1min graphs if you're in for the long haul. Just keep buying and look back quarterly the earliest, maybe even 2-3 times a year only. That's when you see any reliable movement indicators, not before. Exactly the same deal as with stocks, just way more volatile in short-term - which is exactly the reason you shouldn't look at them daily.

I have no big good source but as the experience in last year and also before, bitcoin and other cryptocurrency always recover their price back into normal and stable then after that continue to positive movement. So i think this is temporary.

Well, it always depends on the people if they are going to panic sell and adapt all those FUDs. Certain things are coming out right now, like Facebook is banning Bitcoin ads. Sometimes they just want to buy at a low price so they are going to make some FUDs.

Even i think that this time if the downfall continues for two days it will result into crash which will be hard to recover.There have been lots of money involved in it and people who are doing it doesn't want prices to go higher.If the prices of bitcoin goes down alts prices are also affected which makes it difficult for the investors to withdraw profits from the fall.

Before you all start getting in panic because of every dump, just think about the past. Bitcoin was at thousand dollars exactly one year ago. So en of november everybody was predicting that bitcoin will be ten thousand of end of the 2017, which will make a x10 in one year. But it came a little bit different and it rises to twenty thousand because of the hype. Now it dumps to ten thousand, which is still very much, but everybody is goin crazy because it was on almost twenty thousand. So an advice for all you newbies: Just chill, relax and hodl. Actually its just a normal correction. To the start of the year Bitcoin price dumps always. So just wait and look what will be in 3 months!

I've been wondering, why bitcoin got into this level of price. Man, it's very low. But I think it is the effect of a big community loss in korea and china. It indicates that the bitcoin got into greater supply and also got into lower demand. the lower the price tends to fall. Hopefully it would reach the moon again.

I also think that this is very bad, because it is a clear sign of the distrust and uncertainty that prevails in the market, and I think it is also a sign that new investors no longer set high expectations regarding the future of bitcoin, since they are not considering long-term holding as a valid option and only look for quick investment returns, which could end up undermining people's interest in continuing to rely on cryptocurrencies and lead to a period of market stagnation.

It is very bad if you are a naive investor who buys when bitcoin has skyrocketed, because you think it will keep going up non-stop, and sells out of panic in situations like this. For me and many others, it is a great opportunity to buy.

This is due to tether's subpoena which is I don't know if its a FUD, I guess but there's a sure thing that after this drop it will increase again.

I don't think so that price of bitcoins will go much down it would probably stay between range of $10k to $11k.I don't know why people start panicking when there is drop in price I know that they worry about their assets but most people panic sell which would be worst decision.Instead take opportunity of the drop and if you can invest more in low prices.And the drop in price was due to correction of the price it was not a crash.

This is one dip of many that we have seen during the last few weeks. It always ended somewhere close below 10000 dollar. After that we saw the recovery set in again. This time we have once again a nice new doomsday theory for bitcoin, the Tether scam. Maybe it will keep the price down a little longer but ultimately it will vanish into thin air like all those other rumors did.

Ok, first, this is not crash, i'm amazed that no one has said so, a 10% or 20% decrease in the price is merely a drop. Second, how are we supposed to know what exactly is going to happen? nobody knows what's happening right now, and nobody knows how long thing drop is going to last. And finally, rather than getting worried, everyone should start buying the dip.

I think that is the only reason for the purchase. Now, large investors and bitcoin goes to the moon. Look at what is happening, first banned bitcoin, and ICO, then like reviewing the ban, start again to resolve. Who purchase, he will be in the future, in a nice profit.

If you look at the global market,the entire stock market is bleeding because of the fear of increased rates and that is reflecting in the crypto currency platform too,i am sure the rally we had in the digital market is mainly because of top fund houses dealing in stock exchanges too and therefore if they book their losses in the stock exchange they might book their profit in the crypto currency market to make things even and may be so is the reason the entire financial sector is bleeding today.

A crash like this should only last a little while, the price will bounce back when the coin is less manipulated by the whales.

No, I don't think it is a long term drop and that it would drop even furhter. It might just recover it's value again in the next few hours or maybe a few more days. It could actually fall down, I can't actually predict, but recently whenever it dropped a little bit like this it had recovered again and I think something similar is going to happen this time. So, I think holding would be the best option.

I have heard it is due to the South Korean government reopening allowing their citizens to use their exchange accounts again since they are telling them to verify them ALL for KYC verification and treat them just as their own bank accounts which they have those verified for their own use to send and receive funds too.
Them with alot more users then expected are causing the markets to crash.
This is what I am assuming what happened cause it's the only major occurrence that has happened in the past 24 hours concerning to bitcoin in the current frop from high $11's last night to this below $9's that it is now.

No crash is very bad for bitcoin. It has survived worst cases than the ones we are seeing lately. Well today the person who predicted 3 years before that bitcoin would reach 10.000 dollars in 2017 just predicted that bitcoin during this year will be 50.000 dollars. Of course this is only speculation but he was right once so maybe he will be again. I am saying this to clear that this kind of threads are not really useful and do not spark any good discussion at all. You either believe in bitcoin and do not care what happens to its price or you are a hypocrite claiming to believe in bitcoin but at the first obstacle you start saying all kind of things.

Well its looks like that we are on another market price correction. It's the 3rd time for this month if I'm not mistaken. We have seen similar corrections in 2016 and 2017, 2-3 in the month of Jan.

Again, when the price is going down, its likely that more investors will try to pick up a few bitcoin because the price is cheap. So in hindsight, its not bad as you might think.

One must take advantage of every situation to get bitcoin at a discount, and this is another golden opportunity to all of us.

Don't worry mate. It is very usual volatility of bitcoin. According to the fibonacci retracement it can come down till 8000usd. In case it doesn't break that level downward I don't see any problem.
