I have been trading in the OKEx exchange for years now and I have had no issues so far, it's a reputable exchange and I would recommend it for anyone because I haven't heard anyone complaining about any issues and from personal experience, I know that deposits are processed fast, withdrawals are processed faster and the trading experience is what's to be expected from an exchange of that calibre.
OKEx Exchange is definitely in my top 3 list but bear in mind that it's a centralised exchange and you don't have full control of your funds so don't be carried away and leave your funds there for a long period of time.

I think it is safe exchange. Yes it is new, but I have see the transparency of this exchange, and I think couple of months ago they are having a conference I dont know if it is in Honkong or Singapore, I have some friends who are an ambassador of it, I think if something happens we can directly ask them since there is a regional ambassador everywhere.Okex is not a new exchange, in fact it is one of the most reputable exchange in the crypto industry. I've made a few trades on their platform way back 2018 and never had any issue so therefore I could say that the exchange is safe, if OP is not convince then he/she can do some research about Okex via google.

Base on my experience yes its safe. I dont have any problem using it even in the trasnaction widrawal and deposits its normal . The only thing annoy me is the security when you login you need to enter mobile code that sometimes takes time before you recieve. I also happen to have some friends who are using the OKEx platform to do crypto trading and I have not heard any kind of complaint so this must be working good for all of them. With some research I made on OKEx, I can say that this is one of the most legitimate and reliable cryptocurrency exchange. Now based in Malta, this must be serving customers all over the world. In 2018, OKEx is one of the top ten cryptocurrency exchanges in terms of volume of transactions and am sure that in 2019 its rank has already improved a lot because of its ongoing expansion plans.
Okex exchange is no problem in my opinion, I have had several transactions and trading there are no obstacles I've ever experienced, so I think your friend is good to trade on the Okex exchange because Okex is a large exchange, I think you also don't need to worry if trade there.

They say that its great but if you really wanted to make sure that everything was fine then you should do your own research, i've looked for some details about it and they said that it was already verified as a reliable exchange so I think you won't have any issue on using it.

Both Binance and Kucoin still require documents for KYC verification when the user starts going above the 2BTC limit they placed.
Well I guess OP won't withdraw over 2 btc per day hence that could save him for giving any documents.
Personally, OKex is doing good by far. Though there are rumors that they're faking their volume and that's not surprising to know. So just be keen on volume and never leave huge fund on your account.
Okex is a very good exchange and it is safe and trusted trading site. I never encounter any problem since i used this exchange.
okex site in my opinion is very safe for novice traders who want to jump into the world of trading in addition to a very attractive UI also the registration process is not difficult also the minimum withdrawal and very small withdrawal fees are very suitable for novice traders and there are many coin lists that are quite well-known

Absolutely its safe to use OKex and I consider it as one of the top exchange in cryptosphere! So far, I haven't encountered any issues yet along with this excellent platform and in fact they have another exchange as a sister company - Coinall, both of which are vibrant in trading activity and often has excellent trading volumes.

It's legit... I would put it in the category of Binance, kucoin, Huobi... Used it for the past 2 years with no problem so far. The only challenge is wash trading which i suspect they also do(noticed it when i placed buy or sell orders sometimes for certain tokens) but still that shouldn't affect your funds or trading that much.

Okex has been in the cryptospace for quite sometime and i think it's a good platform to trade on unless you have had an issue which makes you doubt it. Also, becareful you don't visit any clone sites of the original Okex website (https://www.okex.com/lang/en-US/)or else you will get phished and hackers would have access to your account. However i suggest you move this topic to The Marketplace board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0) as this topic is suitable over there.

Some of my friends have been using Okex since last year and there was no problem that they encountered. Withdrawals and deposit are okay and also trading in that site is also good. But even if Okex is okay we must still be cautious since even big exchanges are being attacked by hackers and so it is best not to keep your coins inside the site but store it well on your wallet instead.

It's a subsidiary of okcoin - one of the top (if not the biggest) fiat to crypto exchange in China. So you should be good to go. Just make sure you're visiting the correct website when transacting or trading.
