Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure it out if this is scam:

www.elrond.com

Sometimes they are in the news and sometimes not....also on website seems to have conflicting information in regards to team.

How do you know if they are for real?

Well, the only thing I could say about this is that,  never try to invest into something if you feel any doubt about it or experiencing a lot
of worry. Besides, I am also not familiar with in short, I never heard of it actually. Although, I'm not saying its one of the scam coin, of course not,

If you're not sure whether that website is scam or not then it is better not to click that website or not letting them to get your information, and  dont give an opportunity to them to steal your money or personal information.

Many people in this world doing crazy things without mercy to their victims that why we need to be careful to them.

Better to look deeper into this project if it is legit or not before trusting or investing in this better to be safe than sorry
All projects must be looked at more deeply, so that we can trust the project through the information written in it, but will such a thing really be safe? because the con artists in the project are also very clever in composing words for a project.

What do you guys think today about this project?

Some people discuss its a scam, others say its technology is incredible and speaks for itself.
Well maybe OP and some early Posters 2 years ago had reacted easily without digging deep into the project, because upon checking it seems that the project had already successfully listed in Binance and that is a great achievement for every coins/project though in the early stage of Binance they are being questioned of Pumping a newly added coin in their exchange.

But good that you Bumped the topic this year as the price is really reached the highest.

Based up on blog: https://elrond.com/blog/the-elrond-token-swap-begins-on-the-3rd-of-september/

This is already old but looking into its volume and markets on where it being traded which is on binance. $34M daily volume is something you cant called scam.
Yes.

It isn't a scam. The coin has changed into egold and it's currently #43 in the coinmarketcap. During its early days, many don't like the coin.

But just as usual, when it's gained traction, there will be a massive orders for this coin when it's going up.

is this the coin you are talking about?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/elrond-egld/

Dont know on why you do grave dig this old thread and asking out if its a scam. Why cant you just make your own google search and find out if this project is still alive or already on the grave?

Browsing off CMC with this with having corresponding red highlight.

This page refers to the native Elrond currency called eGold. The old ERD currency underwent a redenomination of 1000 ERD:1 eGLD, and name change from ERD to eGLD, which is short for eGold. The new eGLD is 1000x larger than the old ERD. There is no difference between eGLD and ERD except for their name and denomination. See Elrond's blog post for more information.

Try to see what is the basis of the people who call elrond as scam since if they are just telling that just to make the one they promoted good we'll think about it, many competitor use this demolition job for certain successful project so if you believe on them well that's you lose. But still you should do more research first before putting some investment there since you might lose a money in volatility so it's still best to find a best position to gain.

if they already featured in the news thats noice but what info did you hear in that news . did that news tells you to stay away from this coin because it was a scam or they only say positive things ? and its normal for every projects to not get often featured in the news even the good ones  . on which website you see they have a conflict ? i dont think its on thier own site because no project owner will destroy themselves  .

i try to find a review to help you but this is the only review that i found https://www.coinbureau.com/review/elrond-erd/  . they have a detailed review but in the end i think thier final comment to this project was a bit confused or unsure

I doubt if this is a scam and when elrond was a scam, binance will never try to add it on its exchange site

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/elrond-egld/markets/

Im neutral but sometimes there will always be a hater who will be saying anything is a scam. I do believe when someone was hating it and whatever how good the product that already created and it will be marked as a scam by the hater.

Elrond looks like a legit project even after ERD already converted into the EGLD

This is funny. Please mark my words. This is 100% scam. After the launch or even faster, the value of erd will drop very very fast. The erd is built artificial. The whole team is just a joke. If you have just a little brain and look on the orderbook & trade history you will see the bots working day and night to artificialy build this sh!T Coin. Be aware and don’t fall for this scam. It’s old and can’t believe is still working. Newbies be aware! Don’t buy. Stay alert! Take care! Be safe!

I'm part of the Elrond team - I was surprised to come across this thread suggesting we're scam.

You guys are always welcomed to our offices - we have great coffee + tech Smiley

Scam Smiley)) - good joke!
I'm waiting for ICOEthics getting into the scenerio. Perhaps he will find out if you are scam or not. I wish you are not. A lot of scam projects are here and there. That's why people easily call a project scam.

I checked one by one team's behind www.elrond.com through LinkedIn or google search and I didn't find any weirdness at all.

Everyone in this team has good background and has good capacity to make this project work well.

Which part of their team information is conflicting?

Whitepaper contains standard information and it appears that parts of the text are plagiarized.

Plagiarized from where?

Sometimes they are in the news and sometimes not...

What do you mean in the news? Mentioned by Coindesk or something like that? Just because a project is not reported by news media doesn't mean they're scamming you.

FYI, Elrond has been reviewed by several ICO review site here:

If you are considering this as an investment, I advise you to refrain from this. Any contradictions is a sign, and in my opinion, this project is similar to a scam. Whitepaper contains standard information and it appears that parts of the text are plagiarized.
Yeah seems so, while their telegram channel have almost 9k members but this isn't enough to say that the project is legit. Investing now on ICOs are more likely a gambling, so if I were you I will just bet my money to reputable gambling sites here and see your luck, well who knows?

Thanks for the reply - I don't really understand how their Adaptive state sharding and "Secure" Proof of stake works but someone suggested this to me.
That information is right on the link that you share, do more diligent reading and comprehension.

If you go for a simple research also you will find that this ICO has attended many blockchain concerts. The team seems to be connected with the project. The amount raised by the ICO cannot be verified by me. Now the ICO presale stage is going on. So they will be less seen on news. During the mainsale the ICOs do marketing to increase the sales. Although this idea which the project is trying to implement is already introduced by many ICOs. I didn't find any conflicting information of team. Also if you read the whitepaper the project is explained well. So let's see how much it raise. For now according to me it is a legit project.

It's a red flag when there are conflicting details about a team on the website of that company or project. What else do you expect to scrutinize them with if you can't hold them accountable by the words of their mouths?

BTW, the rank of your account (just a single post) could also make people not take you seriois and respond swiftly to your question.

Thanks! I'm new to this. But I appreciate your reply.
