It's a scam so don't pay attention to such messages...

One more thing, I am from India (an Indian) and I can say that not all Indians are scammers... Wink
Told this as I thought you specifically mentioned it to insult Indians, no offense either... Smiley

Not at all. 90% of the time the scammers that run the "i'm your rich cousin from india" scam are from some 3rd world place in africa or working in a data center in china. they just use the "rich lost cousin from india" line because it is well known there are a lot of wealthy oil tycoons in india so they think it makes it sound more believeable.

I am not a racist, i discriminate equally. I have nothing against indians that i dont have against every other race on the planet including my own.

Oh ok, then it's all totally fine...
Maybe I misunderstood... Smiley
Even I fell for such scams in 2005 but got saved as they were saying that I won a lottery and they gave a number which was from UK, when we called, they didn't seem to talk professional and I even called one of my father's friend in UK and he confirmed that this is scam...

I would stay away from crowd-funding business. Most never pay on time or come up with some lame excuses and never pay out or have problems from the start. Id rather go throw my money into some doubler and risk it with others getting paid out on it or go on Casio site and have better odds of winning. Have been in a number of crowd-funding  1 turned out pretty good 2 others ran into problems part way on starting and launch day and then closed and didn't provide any refunds. The one that turned out good managed to recover from the others that turned out bad. Then soon later after a month or so iof it paying  turned to the same faith SCAM. Stay well away from them or just buy and hold bitcoin and wait for several months.

You'd better leave that away. I think that type of book is meaningless for us. We still can get as much info as we want from the internet.

Considering i have never even heard of him before let alone spoken with him that was a big red flag for me that it was shady.

It's a scam if you don't receive the promised goods.

I would agree with this. Atleast he isn't really asking you to send him the money or claim the fortune. As long as he doesn't take your money and doesn't deliver the promised items, it cannot really be called a scam. I just see it as an advertising.

Hello. I am writing to you because we’ve interacted here before, and I have some exciting news!

As you perhaps know, I am writing an eBook to categorize every 'physical crypto coin' ever minted; an ultimate collectors guide. A hard date has been set for release: JUNE 30th, 2015. It is however 90% likely that the book will be released on or before FRIDAY, JUNE 17th, 2015.

Last year, I published a 31 page book focusing solely on Casascius Physical Bitcoins, the first and most well-known physical crypto coins (You can find it free at www.coinfirm.org), known as 'The CoinFIRM Casascius Guide'. This guide has become the standard and most trusted source among collectors and traders, with many sale listings here and on eBay linking the guide as an information source.

The bigger, better book will provide vital information about well over 130 different physical crypto coins & rounds released by about two dozen 'crypto mints' and many more by individuals.

Information to be included:
- 'Crypto Mint' & individual manufacturer bio's & history
- Mintage numbers, materials, size & weight
- Redemption numbers, when available
- Photos from both sides
- Information about grading results
- Detailed and interesting descriptions!
- Information about attempted counterfeits and various other tidbits

I have just launched a crowd-funder for this book on StartJoin. My campaign can be found at the following link:

https://www.startjoin.com/CoinFIRM

I am seeking contributions, the different levels of which will bring you some cool perks and benefits. Startjoin accepts PayPal and ‘StartCoin’. You are most welcome to donate via bitcoin to me directly, and I will offer you a 5% discount on the perks listed if you donate via BTC directly.

Furthermore, this funding will jump-start my website, CoinFIRM, to make it into the 'homepage of physical crypto coins'. It will feature news about new releases, special discounts, and a collector’s newsletter service.

If you decide to make a direct BTC contribution, you may do so through the link below. If paying directly, send me the TX ID (or ask me for a private address), and I will confirm you on my list of perk recipients. I can also accept PayPal directly and some other methods.

I got this message today and it seems like one of those "i'm your rich long lost cousin from india and i'm dying and leaving you my forutune" e-mails that find their way to my inbox every once in a while. Did anyone else get this message today? Is this some new kind of scam?
