But I believe Donald Trump, he is a great businessman and can predict the future of Bitcoin.

LOL, that's some funny shit right there. Though if you are serious you might want to make an appointment with a head trauma doctor ASAP.

The bitcoin tweet posted by trump caused both a good and bad reaction to the market due to it's influence. The good part is that some weak hands had to dump for some big players while the bad news is that it might have driven back some people that had plans to invest in bitcoin at that moment. But regardless of that, I see bitcoin to be bigger than trumps FUD and it's proving stronger that that.
Trump has cause a temporary dump and we witnessed what happen, but bad for him because he also loss his reputation now, next time he will make a FUD, people will be wiser enough to treat it, nothing can stop bitcoin even Trump or even the US.
That's true, the dump is temporary and now Bitcoin price slowly increase. Will there be the next stetment from Trump? Grin

Trump has more than 60 millions of  followers on his twitter and he mentioned bitcoin to them. You know how they say, that there is no such thing as bad advertising!! So don't fall for his statement about btc. I think you should do the opposite of what they want you to do. Not to sell but to buy the dip.
Giving attention to crypto is a sucess for holders. That means the game is on. Wanna buy cheap coins? Just make a bad statement about it and  buy cheaper. You fill your bag and then you come up with positive statements about crypto or bitcoin.

But sometimes the bad news is real and the price will go down forever. We should carefully review the comments of major economists.
That will help us avoid buying at too high prices and suffering losses.
But I believe Donald Trump, he is a great businessman and can predict the future of Bitcoin.

Sorry man but it doesn't work like that. No big businessman would say bad about cryptocurrency and then purchase and come out to say good again about it. That doesn't make any sense.

How do you think people are going to view him after he has said that? What he would do is say bad about and if the price goes down he might then buy it secretly and won't make any statement about it. Beaause coming to say good about something he has tarnished makes him look like a fool. Even if he's buying crypto secretly, as long as he has said something bad about it, he's going to stick to that and pretend he doesn't invest in cryptocurrency.

Did you heard about JPMorgan CEO? You know what he did?

That is the rule in the crypto market, people with power will be able to control the market. Just good news, the value of the coin will increase rapidly, the most recent example is the meeting between Warren and Justin Sun.
although Sun only announced the meeting, Tron's value suddenly increased in a confusing manner.
Therefore, when we get the news sooner, we will definitely be rich.
Is it the meeting where they invited Trump so that the world crypto leaders can make him understand what cryptocurrency is all about after he used is tweet to condemn bitcoin to an extent. Well, even if he does not attend the meeting, I already see huge success in the meeting between Justin and warren and I am sure that it will give birth to a good result anyway.

I expect TRON to increase because the market is speculative, people would want to prepare down in case the meeting goes well and have a positive impact on the coin, and this is how most traders makes their money, this is why I love to follow fundamental analysis than technical analysis, at least wit this, anyone knows that the coin they talk about will surely gain more investors and users.

The President is a businessman and real property investor, its pretty sure he knew how stock market works. I can only presume he has BTC investment as well but just don't worry about price as he knows it going to go up no matter how hard the fuds will be. It would be so much better if he just express support to BTC though. It would have reached up to 14k by now.

Trump is not the type of business person to chase after flashy tech stocks or Bitcoin. He's somewhat similar to Warren Buffett in the way that he likes to invest in properties, businesses, etc. In other words, anything with a cash flow and a possibility to earn dividends.

When people are a multi millionaire or a billionaire, they are looking for ways to preserve their wealth, and Bitcoin for these traditional investors poses an incredible threat to their wealth. They invest in things that have proven themselves, have a working product, Bitcoin is nothing like that from how they look at it.

People here shouldn't hope for presidents or other high level entities to share with the world that they love Bitcoin and own a ton of it. It makes me even think people find it necessary for them to jump into Bitcoin in order for it to succeed. Bitcoin has never given a shit about who owns whatever amount of coins, neither should you.

Had been done even before in troll boxes of exchange.
Now, it is those who are popular in the financial industry which are being used.
McAfee, Trump and a lot more. To create instability in the market or take out those new people who cannot handle even a little shake. That could also make them buy or sell in the right moment.
This is a fact that rumors and the names of influential people in the industry could be instrumental in driving the blockchain visitors out of business or the crypto market even. But since the market has been pretty bullish lately, people are going to stay and wait for the big hand rather than following Donald Trump’s dis-likeness for Bitcoin or any other coin.

We all know that Trump is a businessman. He has something to do with his current position. And promoting of bitcoin against with his constituents is normal. I think it would be great if he said, go and buy bitcoin. Lol.
But I think this will be a stepping-stone for US investors to be part of growing industry of cryptocurrency.

Trump tweet as regards Bitcoin is a great advertisement Bitcoin has never received since inception. What a way to introduce Bitcoin to more than 60 Million followers? The search for Bitcoin increase extremely after this tweet. Don't ever do what they say, follow what they do. It might be a strategy to buy the dip as an intelligent business man but it does not work as Bitcoin remain stable after his tweets. Bitcoin is more than any Government or Institution.

Trump is a good businessman! He knows what he's doing!
I think both of those statements are demonstrably false.
I disagree completely, except that he may not know what he's doing as president of the US.  I think his track record as a successful businessman speaks for itself, and if he wasn't a good one he wouldn't be rolling in cash, now would he?  As much as you or anyone else might detest the man, he's certainly not a failure in business or politics.

I'm not a Trump fan by any means, and his comments about bitcoin are meaningless to me.  Bitcoin is global.  One politician in one country should not be able to influence the price of bitcoin, even if it's Donald Trump who's doing the tweeting.  I'm very surprised people are still listening to his nonsense anyway.

I can only presume he has BTC investment as well
I doubt that.  He has enough money already and probably wouldn't invest in something as volatile as bitcoin.  My guess is that he has the majority of his wealth in safe assets and not in speculative ones.

Given the current rate of Bitcoin, today making investments is quite profitable and practically Trump's statements contributed to this.  I have the impression that this statement was made on purpose.  Donald Trump is a very smart businessman and he did not have to wait for rash statements.

Is this the Donald Pump we've been waiting for?

it seems that this week all the attention is focused on regulators, politicians and the US government... I would say that this is a very terrifying week. First donald trump comes on the scene with his twitter about bitcoin, then came the Treasury Secretary to make bad comments about bitcoin, then came the US Congress, now we have this:

Breaking: US Regulator Investigating Crypto Exchange BitMEX — Report

I wonder what's left to come

Not to sell but to buy the dip.

the best option is buy now and hold for 3 years, with Bitcoin halving happening next year and with launch of BAKKT, we will see many institutional investors and the price in the future may increase a lot

The long term result of his statement is good, the president speaking about bitcoin and regardless of how he commented it, that is considered a good thing to me. Market has fallen, we can obviously see it but the good thing is that it will not fall further, recovery is happening now and as it continue to rise, even slowly, that would make me think that we are up for a new high this month.
Personally, I do not see his statement as threat that much, the only signal it sent to me is that the technology would be taken serious by lots of people right now for it to have gotten to trump, it means they must have even debated about the system in the house, and no matter what trump says about bitcoin, there is no way it can really affect  it or kill it, the countries using bitcoin are way too much now for the resident of bitcoin to have any dominance over it.

I think he is just trying to protect the dollar, or probably trying to just support Facebook coin, being that the operator is from United states, and we all know that U.S likes to hold power, but I doubt if anyone will really flow with the Libra coin, being that it is a full centralized coin and a stable coin for that matter.

Donald Trump only said it on Twitter and it may have reached a lot of Twitter users but not enough to make everyone to be curious what Bitcoin is about. Also United States Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said something about Bitcoin. Lets just thank them for helping Bitcoin reach those who are unaware of its existence.

I think both of those statements are demonstrably false.

Well I don't think so. For a businessman, yeah he is but for the latter, that's quite arguable because you may not actually know the intents of people.
To the OP, yeah we're not supposed to be shaken by his negative sentiments. Actually, Crypto has already seen worse from these "people" so I don't really give them much of my attention. I focus on how to make it in the cryptospace other than worrying about when it'll die.

We don't have to get the effect from these people, but unfortunately, we see many traders got the effect from his tweet and makes them sell their bitcoin. The effect of selling bitcoin too early made bitcoin price down too deep in yesterday. But gladly, now bitcoin price can increase slowly, and we could hope it will increase higher in the next week. We should be careful of the negative news that still comes out in around us, and we need to seek the truth before we decide.

people are allowed to express their mind concerning issues that relate to world finance and the policy that affect money. The President comments were not expected in that way since many of us believe that Trump is a businessman and he may support any technological advancements like bitcoin or blockchain! Since he has made the comment bitcoin has been going down and we expect that to happen. However, he will not be able to control bitcoin in the long run and the market is going to bance back.

At least he has known about bitcoin and assuming that bitcoin is really exist. Most investor only takes a conclusion based on the short term effect, when they see someone who has a popularity and talk a bad about bitcoin and they will decide to sell their bitcoin and otherwise.

But if I read his statement on the twitter that he is not fan of bitcoin I didn't really see that the statement gave a big affect to bitcoin price movement. Because everyone have a freedom to say like and dislike it is all depend on their perspective. The government regulation will be decided by conventation which is mean on the conventation there will be some people who pro and cons against a problem.

In the past even before he became the United States of America's president, he was disposed to the idea of bitcoin and many people see him as someone that will favor technological advancements as bitcoin and blockchain technology is one of the latest advancements of technology of our time but I was surprised to read his comments yesterday on Twitter about bitcoin and even tweet that he is not "fan of Bitcoin" It might be a strategy to buy low but personality I was disappointed.
I highly doubt he plans to enter in crypto world, being president, businessman and be in so much things all together and then also be interested in crypto world and plan to enter in it? Insane, requires a lot of energy. I think like others, he wants to test how his words can affect bitcoin's price to show others how great influence his words/posts have on anything that's not his game but still can affect and control everything.
Well, I Can see how strong bitcoin is now, even his own negative comment could not have any effect on bitcoin, if trump’s utterances could not have any negative effect on bitcoin, then this should send lots of signal to unbelievers and people who are yet to join the bitcoin community that bitcoin has come to stay, and I doubt if there is anything that can influence it negatively.

Bitcoin has really gone beyond trump, because we are beginning to have very powerful countries in terms of technology that are fully behind the system of cryptocurrency, take Japan for example, japan has been very friendly with cryptocurrency, and blockchain in quote, maybe because they understands technology fully more than any other countries you see out there.

Perhaps the Donald Trump's statements had a definite purpose.  Everyone today can see that immediately after the publication of these words, the price in the cryptocurrency market has dropped significantly.  Based on this, I am already fully confident that it is impossible to predict something in advance, because any negative news can change all our plans for the future.

I think it is right to say that Donald does have a bit of power over the world being the leader of united states of america and all that. However contrary to all other people thinking that Donald is influencing the world in a bad way I feel like its actually good for us to have someone bad like him to actually increase the activism of good people.

When you have too many years of people like Obama and good things happen all around the world and even the image of USA gets better thanks to him, people who are more educated tend to keep focusing on their work and stop caring about politics since its doing very well, thanks to people like Donald we once again have educated and normal people finally getting out of their sleep and actually doing some activism starting with actually going to vote. So, Donald saying anything bad about bitcoin would in return mean amazing things for bitcoin very soon.

Whoever still allows Donald trump tweet to have any effect on them or control their emotion is still not ready for liberation, I don’t expect Donald trump to ever support bitcoin because of it being a decentralized coin. I am waiting for Libra coin of Facebook to be released first ,  and then hear trump’s stand on it, it is then I will know if they are trying to control cryptocurrency or not.

Of course we wanted to see Trump reacting to Libra once it is released. However, we have seen US lawmakers doing everything to stop so I guess we don't need Trump's stance of Libra, I'm smelling a hard line stance for him as well.

Bitcoin is doing fine without the input of trump and I don’t see reason why anyone should be threatened by his speech. If anyone that is not so strong enough panic to allow the tweet to affect them, then it will still be a plus to me and to many people who is willing to buy from those who will panic sell at a cheaper rate because I am looking for every opportunity right now to get a cheaper bitcoin before the bull run.

Just do remember that Bitcoin is still a speculative asset and anyone specially with a higher position saying anything will have a effect. But the good thing is that people just ignore Trump, as the prices didn't tank as we has expected. So his statement doesn't bring any weight in the long run. So we should thank Trump for the free publicity.

that was my initial reaction to this tweet too. there is no bad advertisement and it has put bitcoin on the radar of millions of people who saw this tweet and millions more who read about it all over the internet in the following days after it. and that is one of the reason why I have been very surprised in the past couple of days to see the market reaction which has been mostly passive to this news. I suppose part of it can be because of the fact that people got scared and wanted to wait to see what happens before doing anything.
also someone mentioned the altcoin dumps that might have been the reason for this pressure on bitcoin price preventing it from rising up.

He wasn't the first with such reverse tweet. i remembered J.P morgan doing the same some time ago in 2017. apparently, a bitcoin transaction was made with his name link to it.
it is all about the reverse marketing that might lead to weak hands selling out while the business moguls buys from them
I think we should take into account the expert opinions and that is not expert opinion because Trump is a businessman and politician and not a crypto expert. It is thought to have great implication for the economy in future and we have already seen the great performance and cut down in cost as well. If a company like Microsoft is using crypto, be confident about its future.

Of course, such big politicians will not say something just like that. So it was profitable to someone. Donald Trump is a big fool if he thinks people who are interested in bitcoin and crypto would listen to him. To begin with crypto is for people who are against banks and against establishment, this is the president of usa who is basically faking his wealth and acting all establishment himself so why would any crypto person listen to him at all.

There is not a single soul on this earth that would say "well if Donnie says so then I will stop" so it won't affect crypto in any sense. However, if I know donnie well enough then he might come up and say something great about cyrpto the next day as well because he is known to change his opinions quite frequently which is why nobody really cares about what the hell he says since it can change in matter of hours.

His opinion or words about bitcoin will not sway a true believer of bitcoin. At this stage of the evolution of the bitcoin money, whether or not the government likes it or not, bitcoin will play a dominant role in eCommerce as well as an investment vehicle.

Very true. And you can find most of those true believers are here in the forum. Whatever a politician's view on bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, we just ignored them because we very well know its true nature. Those who don't have idea will get a negative notion, however, they are the ones who will not enjoy the numerous benefits of dealing with crypto. So it is not our loss. His opinion or words about bitcoin will not sway a true believer of bitcoin. At this stage of the evolution of the bitcoin money, whether or not the government likes it or not, bitcoin will play a dominant role in eCommerce as well as an investment vehicle.

Maybe. They say any news is good news, right? Hundreds of millions of people are seeing the US president talk about Bitcoin.

And the reference to its high volatility........a lot of people know what he's talking about. Might help trigger that greed. Tongue

You should definitely watch this out, I ROFL'ed hard while reading to some of the most irritating, yet informative comments for our favorite arrogant US President Donald Pump Trump. My favorite one was this:

Let's stop reacting to him, it has become these people's daily routine to try to manipulate the markets through their "influencing"words. I'd say Mr. Trump has got the disease of crypto influenza and is now waiting for a vaccine to be injected in him till he goes normal.

I'm actually just waiting for someone to sponsor his wall with cryptocurrencies and see what his reaction would look like. Anyway, I don't think what Trump said on twitter damaged bitcoin in any way. If anything, it might have helped in the recent increase, thanks to his 62 million followers on Twitter. And it's cringey to read his 'dependable and reliable' remarks to the tanking US dollar, with conviction! A dude that bashes a news outlet (CNN) continuously, followed by some random spurts of craziness by tweeting nonsensical things in front of a large audience and at the same time being the POTUS is somewhat a recipe for a complete disaster, and is realized by Trump himself.

Don't mind him. He's just having his rounds of crazies.

If a group donates to The US bitcoins to build the wall don't worry about seeing him posting like a freak on Twitter to say how Bitcoin is wonderful.
By the way, he was referring to Facebook coin basically but he included Bitcoin and cryptos like to say "While I am at it..."
I truly think he considers cryptocurrencies and company coin differently.

Trump is a good businessman! He knows what he's doing!

I think both of those statements are demonstrably false.

Is this the Donald Pump we've been waiting for?

Reversed marketing
Trump has more than 60 millions of  followers on his twitter and he mentioned bitcoin to them. You know how they say, that there is no such thing as bad advertising!! So don't fall for his statement about btc. I think you should do the opposite of what they want you to do. Not to sell but to buy the dip.
Giving attention to crypto is a sucess for holders. That means the game is on. Wanna buy cheap coins? Just make a bad statement about it and  buy cheaper. You fill your bag and then you come up with positive statements about crypto or bitcoin.
