"Passionate" spammers would just put some more punctuation into the post, in order to flee the automatic reports...
If you want to create a kind of automation to remove the average shitposts, you just can't publish the rules of that system, because farmers are also reading Meta (and also posting there with their alts Cheesy ) and they will just adapt their autospam system in the next second, not to waste their precious resources...
Its not even required. :/

The automation is beyond useless. Sometimes, things are just stupid when automated. There is no permanent cure to this now, the whole point of automation would be useless. Cause even if the script or whatever is generated, and even if theymos agrees to it, and then those stupid shitposters get banned, and then what? More shitposters appear, and it all leads to nothing but a mere waste of time.

I'd just tell you to do this, as a wise man once said: "Sometimes nothing is the hardest thing to do."

Oh what would this world have turned into if Tyrion never existed. Undecided

This list can be used to create a system of alerts that run to detect users who use these standard phrases. This would identify accounts whose purpose is to only increase account activity and use for spam, farm or shitposting.

I think we can create a list of "scripts" for raising activity for Bitcointalk newbies. Also you can write some advices how to up your forum rank [/size]

Here, you can just express what your thoughts and opinion regarding the topic, why would they make a scripts for activities? Seriously?  Huh
Probably a bounter, they're just making theirselves dumb for rank Roll Eyes

typical shitposters;
Most users probably still aren't aware of the merit system or even understand it. Besides, this sort of spam will still get you to a Junior Member, but this is yet further reasoning why we should do something about that and either remove signatures from Juniors Members all-together and/or require some sort of merit achievement to become one. Far too many people are botting their way to Junior and then they can even get paid for this behaviour on badly run ICO campaigns.

Should have atleast 5 merits to be a Jr. member for a starting barrier.

Thank you very much for the useful information.)

I bet that made the list on that Google doc.

Luckily it got deleted quite quickly so it won't be used for spamming publicly at least, Shane as I bet theymos could use it for auto deleting messages that are posted.

Well this post has firmed my resolve to improve my ignore list and publish it. I was going to report the post, but I'm no longer sure if it is still a deprecated comment. It's also probably plagiarism, as it doesn't mention the original author.

I've just seemn this thread on the beginners board

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--4919236
I could not open the thread to read the post. However, it is not surprising that the beginners' board will have such quality of posts. You can find the reason for such low post in two regards: 1. Reason for joining the forum. Most of the entrants into bitcointalk.org came to make quick money so, notwithstanding quality, they post anything. 2. People nowadays don't want to improve their learning curve.

Anyone else see that the user has three posts but only that one is in his history? Maybe a bug or the others have been removed but not yet updated. Noticed this a couple of times on certain users though.

Do you have the Russian local on ignore? Two of the first three posts are there.

Ah right. Must have.

Though maybe we should leave it be and have a bot that automatically nukes any phrases that are proposed in there.

Especially since most of these phrases are uniquely broken, making it easy to discern phrase copy / pasters from your run-off-the-mill shitposter.

Remember kids, before investing in a new project, always ask yourself this: "It your token is ERC-20?"

probably a waste of time for them since icos are noticing it is easier to get bots to just spam the shit out of the main alt board by creating shilling threads where 100's of bots keep it bumped to page 1 by recycling the same ico pumping shit over and over with text spinners

the main boards have become a mass of ico spamming from bots and noobs

merit is powerless to help against it

even removing sigs altogether will not help

perhaps needing a certain rank to post on the main board is best and junior boards for the bots and ico spammers to battle it out.

I'm not sure what he's trying to do because those accounts still need merits.

I was thinking that, maybe it's not such a bad thing because now we know all the text they're using!

Lol  Roll Eyes. Probably.

Quoted it since it probably should be removed:

Can anyone write some examples of universal messages? Example: "Good project", "To the moon", etc.

I created a public document in which everyone can write a couple of same messages - https://docs.google.com/document/d/16NpqmZ-sdU97Tvt9Nqchi4Zv3BmwDaaqcuY0s_di5Ww/edit?usp=sharing
