China bans and panic selling is a daily thing nowadays.

The story will grow old soon enough.
Many of us are ready for fresh news.  Smiley

Maybe of China lifting the ban that never existed. Cheesy
Seriously: I don't understand why people keep freaking out so much about chinese rumors. If you ask me, I'd say this is one of the dumbest kinds of market manipulation I've witnessed so far. Even if it were true it doesn't affect bitcoin so much (it would if bitcoin would already be established as a major currency in china which cleraly isn't the case today).

I agree with you, but

keep in mind that is "China" and if there is "ban" for something and you break that rule its not like ... you will receive letter which says "Dear Sir... you break this rule ... please visit nearest court"

You visit court and will be fined 100, 200, 1000 usd ..

Its like

"You peasant, come to square you will be shot to head, because you have qt in your pc"

and youre done Wink

Time is on our side, yes it is!
I'd say it has something to do with the current price.  People need to learn to look past what the governments say and what they acutally do.  This IMO is just a fear tactic to get people out of the market so the price will remain low and won't become a threat too the banking system.  They want to manipulate the market and people should ask themselves why that is.

China bans, China doesn't ban.
China hates bitcoin, China likes bitcoin.
China supports bitcoin, China opposes bitcoin.
China buys bitcoin, China sells, China buys, China sells.

Make up your mind China!!

Boy, China and the Chinese people have already made up their mind. It is the non-Chinese short-sellers who are spreading the rumors like wildfire and crashing the exchange rates of Bitcoin.

China will eventually have to give in as more and more bitcoin mining companies source their manufacturing to the East, providing economic incentives to governments who support the expansion of their electronic manufacturing sector, a key area to many countries.

the difficulty of exchange between Bitcoin and dollars or euros. But that will rapidly change once some of this "rich" money begins to pour in. Supply and Demand, and nobody does Demand like the very rich.

In my opinon, before the wealthy hide their money in bitcoins, bitcoins need to be able to accommodate the volume they will need. Isn't a short a promise to provide Bitcoin at a later date for a lower price.

Or it was just a matter of time before we had another profit taking sell off. I mean, we've gone up more than 800% in less than 2 months. That's insane. You can't just keep going up and up and up without anyone selling.

Even if we went down to $500 again I wouldn't say that it's unexpected.

Yeah, there's about 15 threads about it scattered around the forum. Maybe people are panicking.
