I'm just wondering...
Topics in ANN thread usually looks like this:
1st post: Some marketing bullshit about the actual scamcoin
From 2nd post to the last post:
'Good project', 'To the moon', etc..
So my understanding is:
Only the first post is "valuable" in a topic in the ANN thread.
We could modify the ANN thread to contain topics with only 1 post, the OP, and that would contain all the necessary information about the scamcoin, and we can prevent the thread from the BS posts.
If something is important, technical thing, question from the users, they should open a kind of Technical support topic in another board, so they can discuss the real questions in it.
The ANN thread should remain for marketing purposes, but everyone would have equal chances to catch the attention of the users. If there will be no bump posts in the ANN threads, there will be much less shitposts, bump service will just stop, etc...
I don't know if it makes sense, just an idea...

Excuse my sarcasm ...

After reviewing the thread 141 pages - Over 99% (wild guess, I have no stats) are newbies meaning those people were introduced to the forum from the marketing they have done.
From these 99%, in the future we will surely get some members who will start digging the forum and become a loyal member. The forum is getting free advertising although the mods will have hard time. However it's not very bad to get extra traffic and perhaps some more loyal members in the future.

Again, excuse my sarcasm.  Smiley

Hello I find this ANN thread being bumped https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--4422943 the topic started June 5 2018 and today it has already 141 pages and each pages have 20 replies so it has already 2820 minus 2 (the author's post the #1 and #2) with total of 2818 replies. I have noticed most replies are 1 liner and sometimes saying that it is a good project and nothing else but bumping. Do moderators need to take actions to this? Since I find it thread bumping which is forbidden in this forum. Tell me if I'm wrong about this accusation but I really find this sketchy.
