Is there any way we can find out whos giving merit to who? Ex. if I view an account to see who credited him a merit and what posts he was credited to.
It is showing above the posts. Suppose a posts receive merits from 3 users. Their names are displayed above the post with message that these person merited.

There is a way to find out who is giving merits to who. You don't need to view his account. Instead you can see in a user's post who gave him merits and how much merit they gave to the post. For example, theymos' original post in his thread about Merit and new rank requirements gained him some merits and it can be seen on the post who gave him merits and how much. Here is the link of the post I am talking about : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28856522

if i put quality posts like exceeding 100 characters , automatically merits up? or anything we have to do?

The idea behind the merit system is to increase the quality
of posting by all members.

You will only earn merits by people who either like or agree
with what you have posted or it your post offers technical
and/or relevant advice on a topic.

The length of you post will be taken into consideration by
either your bounty campaign manager if you are participating
in one or by your activity rating I suspect.

So there are two aspects of progression to consider, ACTIVITY
and MERIT

You are not automatically awarded merit. You need to make a post that someones likes enough to give merit to.

I write decent posts but I haven't received any merits!  Angry

merit is just one way to be rewarded constructive and useful posts.
I'm not sure how this will reduce spam and cheating from people who are farming accounts
They must add information for what message the user received merit. In any case, I would like to see the information, whether it will be ban for the cheating sMerit.

It will be very hard to determine merit cheaters, you must know all related accounts. They can send merit for any shity posts on his account.

I write decent posts but I haven't received any merits!  Angry Perhaps you can upvote some of my posts?
Please refrain from asking for merit in the future, as it's likely that someone will give you a negative trust rating for it.

Anyway, I've looked into your posts and yes, they are decent, but nothing that tempts me to give you merit.

Point Noted! Thanks  Smiley

No. Number of characters a post has is meaningless. It's about quality over quantity and you will only be awarded merit points based on the opinion of others and whether they think your post is deserving of merit.

Also, post length doesn't indicate quality. I could write 100 characters of pure drivel, that doesn't make it a good post.
