I saw that the TOR wallet uses the .xyz domain and in my opinion a domain like this is a free domain that you can get at several events from domain provider services. Some of the wallets that I use use the .com, .org and .io domains which in my opinion look safer and more reliable.

Next, to be honest, this is the first time I have heard the name of this wallet. I opened the link https://torwallet.xyz/ on the internet and I saw it looked like it was a wallet that was about to be launched. Well, even though it looks nice but I wouldn't dare give away my private keys to the new wallet. I might try it but not for now to make it my metamask replacement wallet.

Looks more like a scam to me. It would be unwise to import your private keys and/or seeds on a shady wallet. You could end up losing all of your hard-earned ETH and tokens in an instant. Why didn't the developer bother to buy a domain? Also, the site's template doesn't convince me.

I'd stick with either Rainbow Wallet or Metamask just to be safe. I wouldn't be surprised if the "Tor Wallet" project eventually becomes history (rugpull?). Lets move on, shall we? Cheesy

Another .xyz domain from a wallet that's unknown and trying to be against with the most popular in wallets.

@OP, I don't think that you've just discovered it. Probably you have developed it or marketing it as you can be one of those people that have founded it.

I wouldn't connect any of my wallets on it nor gonna visit. It's just so dangerous with these unknown wallets to try and use them.
I wonder why .xyz there are a lot of good domain extension checking on Namecheap, torwallet.tech and torwallet.biz cost lower than $10, Metamask is an industry giant it was created by a company and developers with a good reputation something I cannot say about this platform, why the need to shill it, create an official announcement in the altcoin announcement section not a guerilla type of advertising, if the project is that really good then its worth creating a massive marketing do they have a budget allocation.

There is no mention of the company on their homepage which makes the project suspicious, all the parameters to make a project with good potential cannot be found on this platform, its like this project was created by newbies in marketing, there is no Chrome extension, and there's no announcement of test net, so many things are lacking in this project.

Metamask has gained financial success, to its Swaps feature allowing easy cryptocurrency exchanges with a reasonable 0.87% fee. Recently, I discovered Tor Wallet, a new player that sets itself apart with a focus on privacy. It generously shares 50% of the Swap fee directly with users and offers extra perks like a 0.15% earning on transfers within the Tor network for TOR token holders and a 0.1% bonus on cryptocurrency swaps.

The question arises: Could Tor Wallet potentially replace Metamask in certain situations? The user-friendly features and clear fee structure of Tor Wallet make it worth considering as an alternative to Metamask?

Website: https://torwallet.xyz
/

Its a big no, I cannot see on this Tor wallet the potential of creating an impact that Metamask has created when it was launched the internet mentioned the creator and the credibility of its creator
Who is the inventor of MetaMask?
Quote
MetaMask was created in 2016 by Consensys employees Aaron Davis and Dan Finlay, according to the company

But on your homepage, the people behind this Tor wallet are vague and unclear https://tor-wallet-1.gitbook.io/tor-wallet/brains-behind-tor-wallet, there are many people named  Kongz and Gordon and there's no mention of the company behind this torwallet, there's no official announcement thread the project marketer it seems do not know how to market the platform if this is a big project it should be marketed the right way.

You are right, Metamask is one of the most popular and best as a crypto wallet and all it's extensions. But don't just praise it to promote your project here. I know you've worked hard to follow and to be like Metamask (if you're a developer), but there are a few things you need to fix in your projects if you want to be like Metamask.

Your site domain is ridiculous. You choose a cheap domain with the .xyz extension instead of spending a little money so that your website looks professional. Many people will think your website is fake or a scam.

You should upload the extensions you produce to the Chromewebstore or similars. So it will increase people's trust to use your product. People will be lazy about having to open the developer settings on their browser, may be some many scared. Something practical will attracts interest right?

If you want to advertise your project, you should post it on the service announcements section. There you can provide more information about your project so that it can attract interest from people here. I hope you are successful with your project.

This is the first time I've heard of such a wallet. Considering that it's a new, and widely-untested project, I'd proceed with caution just to be safe. If it isn't "legit", you can end up losing all of your hard-earned ETH in an instant. Instead of using an existing seed, I'd recommend you create a new wallet from scratch. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

Regarding MetaMask, I believe Rainbow Wallet is a better alternative. It has a sleek UI, and it's much more responsive on mobile devices than MetaMask. The latter often freezes on my low-end Android smartphone. Besides, Rainbow Wallet has something called "Rainbow Points". You wouldn't to miss a potential airdrop (free money), would you? Cheesy

If you are looking for a wallet for Ethereum, then look at the information on the official website, where you can download verified wallets
https://ethereum.org/wallets/find-wallet
I would do the same steps when looking for wallets for other coins.

I don’t think the OP is looking for any ethereum wallet but actually advertising his wallet and which you Have proved is not that old. The wallet itself has a custom token which I don’t like for a wallet, it makes it looks centralized. More so I wouldn’t advice any one to use a brand new wallet at this particular period of time. We all know how new things evolve during bull runs and how they end up scamming people at the end of the day

There are many ways for the OP to mention this tool, but the attention here is quite distracting and I also put it on the blacklist. I don't like comparisons from anything around, simply do your assigned job well, and the comparison is more of a mockery of the product the OP mentioned. The data that people share is quite sufficient, but if I ignore all that to use wallet, I still believe in Metamask.

How can we say that this wallet can replace MetaMask wallet if no working link on the site of this wallet to install and test it. There is no such wallet in Google's online store, to which the site refers. If you know a working link to install this wallet, please provide it. Or is it just me that the link to install the wallet doesn't work?
i already checked it. It's working and extension link available on their website .

Yes, you fixed the links, but what's the point of that? The links lead to github, where there is nothing, no files to download. And although you described the process of installing your wallet there, the wallet file itself is not there. There is no chrome.zip or firefox.zip. And why can't you put your wallet in the google store? Are you afraid that Google won't let your wallet through because it's phishing?

I checked the internet if they are being covered by top media because of their claim and there's no article to back that, I also checked all the features and everything is coming soon, this platform just came out of nowhere too, there's no official announcement here, people will not invest on something that is not well promoted and there is no available information about the platform, they have a big claim on the project but we never heard that they did a testnet.
I doubt this project, for now, they have to prove themselves first.

Just heard that Tor wallet especially with the .xyz domain is suspicious and needs to be watched out for by anyone.

Anyways the link to the download doesn't work but I'm thankful with this no user tried it because if they import the seed phrase then it can lose your assets, this is just my own assumption but I believe this wallet is dangerous.
Unpopular wallet, to anyone just use a wallet that is already credible and popular like Metamask and others especially this is offering too much in my opinion.

Could Tor Wallet potentially replace Metamask in certain situations?

Why not? It's possible if we see Metamask fail and Torwallet gain attention for their features, but is that possible if Torwallet remains in its current state? certainly not.

The user-friendly features and clear fee structure of Tor Wallet make it worth considering as an alternative to Metamask?

Not for now.

Remember that Torwallet isn't the only one in this industry, there are still many Non-Custodial Wallets that have more advanced features than Torwallet has.

From the opinion given by @lovesmayfamilis, I can conclude that currently you're advertising this product, if this is really your product, develop it well, because one day Torwallet could become one of the leaders in the industry.
