indeed it will be difficult to determine something if we do not know and are blind to the country we are going to live in. Your main problem is that you want to do a study and in fact it is tailored to the purpose of your study where you are going. I think there is a lot of information on study places in each country and you adjust it according to the abilities you have or the place of study which is indeed good.

But I see that Russia is the most appropriate place for study because in my country many of them continue their studies there and don't seem to differentiate between culture and religion, because I see that those who study there are from my country from various ethnicities and religions. This is not because of discrimination, but we also need peace in terms of study and not having problems in the future.

It's going to be hard to judge who you fit into to a country from a far. If you really only want to study there and don't care about anything else it might work. But for spending a long time in a foreign county I would recommend to actually visit that country. Before I did my masters abroad I spend a long weekend of 5 days in that city. It's good to actually visit the university before and see how everything goes. It might be difficult though to travel right now with corona.

Hey, I am a Sri Lankan and I am just planning to move to eastern Europe Russia or Turkey. at the moment I like more Turkey. But I have less information about Turkey. people who live in Turkey may know the situation well. Can you guys please help me to understand whether it is a wise to decision to choose Turkey over Russia or any other eastern European country? Thanks in advance.
My advice is to choose a country that has good political conditions...
If you are Muslim then moving to Turkey is a good decision but if you are not Muslim then moving to Turkey will only make it difficult for you. Russia and Eastern Europe are very good regions for non-Muslims.

yeah I think you got a point. I should consider it.

You could always study at Göbekli Tepe, the oldest known civilized place in the ancient world (11 thousand years old) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6bekli_Tepe. It's located in Turkey, about 10 miles north of the border with Syria.

I think they also have job availability in Turkey now despite of the pandemic. But I'm not Turkish so I'm not really sure. I just based my answer on what I have searched on the internet. Maybe you can do that too and also to check other requirements in order for a foreigner get a job in their country. Good luck.

Turkiye has some good expat jobs, in that the cost of living is super low right now compared to international indices because of the highly depreciating Turkish Lira,

so if you can bring an international skill set that is sought after and get yourself an expat contract, you can save a substantial disposable income while working in Turkiye...

Because most people make the mistake of associating it with the Middle East, it's not desired by many international job applicants, so you might find a niche spot for yourself...

If you are just moving to Turkey just to take your higher studies then you can consider other options as well but what I know is Turkey has affordable prices for education so it really depends upon your financial situation where you can take your higher studies.

Yes Turkey is affordable. I just want to check job availability in Turkey now. Thanks.

Czechoslovakia, in particular Prague would be my choice.

That country was dissolved in 1993, splitting into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. You should avoid recommending ghost countries that don't exist anymore... Prague exists, and its in the Czech Republic.

If you don't have a better option and you choose whether Turkey or Russia you should go for Turkey.
There are great cities to live and travel, weather is nice, people are warm to foreigners usually (well, except Syrians, that's whole another conversation Cheesy), currency have low value, if you have a side income you'll be fine. I don't think you will face much difficulties in Turkey.

Academically what are your preferences?

I also want to go to Turkey for graduation. I think Turkey is a very good country for studying. The country is very peaceful. There are many good universities in the country. Universities are ahead in the world rankings. Ankara University is one of them. Moreover, Turkey gives scholarships every year. You can try there.

I think Turkey may be a good place for education currently the education system in Turkey is recognized as like the education system in many developed countries of the planet. Turkey's education system is far better than many countries within the European Union. Turkey's education system is extremely good especially in medical and engineering subjects. additionally because the country is that the junction of Asia and Europe, diplomacy, public administration or other subjects of social sciences including politics are of great importance.

You can have more information by asking this question on the Turkish board.

There's a tension between France and Turkey. I've just read those news but it's best to hear if that will affect your decision from the locals.

And there's this news.

Turkish president calls for 'total reform in education'

You are going to be disappointed when you come to Turkey because higher degree doesn't mean anything If you don't have a friend at court.

I would prefer neither Turkey nor Russia instead of E.E.

Not familiar with Turkish higher studies but I believe go for at least UK. And also, it depends on what studies are you talking about, engineering, math, or cultural studies? Depends actually on your field. Today, you can always check google for best options in your situation, whether financial, field of study, etc.

Turkiye produces strong scholars and academics, both in science and humanities; and the cultural experience would be one of the richest you can experience anywhere in the world, representing a great variety of view points and backgrounds...

Having said that, there is a lot of nepotism and government cronyism interfering with academic positions in Turkish universities right now, so the strongest Turkish intellectuals and scientists usually prefer to pursue their careers abroad, so you have to factor that in your decision making, good luck.

I don't know much about Turkey education system though, but studying in Europe is better than Asia. Although, study in European countries isn't affordable for some people.

Well. Which country do you choose Smiley from Russia and Turkey?

I told you I choose East European over Turkey or Russia.  If you have only Russia and Turkey on chance I am not really sure. It also matter which university you are going to attend. There is a rank-list of best universities. So  also check that and use that when try to decide.

Go for countries that have more freedom of speech, since you need that stuff to learn properly. Higher education means you would challenge theories, doing reviews, and stuff. Without freedom, you would only get the degree, not the knowledge.

This hard for me to answer because most people from Turkey u met actually left the country to study abroad. In international rankings the Turkish universities are not listed among the best, but they might still be better than in your country. You should be aware that there are a lot of issues with Turkey at the moment, they have a very high rate of inflation and the currency is declining. So actually it might be quite cheap for you to study there.
