An update is I just learned from the Telegram support group is that Carl Owen, AKA CEO Matthew Boyd, was also a victim and is now working with U.K. authorities on the matter.

Of course they are. I didn't even had thought they would go this long. It was lucky for the early investors but looking at its structure even a novice can tell its another bitconnect on making. Though they might not get to Top 5 cryptocurrency by marketcap but they too are making an effect.

This is same as HYIP scam. Those who got their investment amount from the profit are safe. But late comers lost all money. Same theroy of HYIP.

This is also nothing different from SCAM ICO's. I got 200+ tokens as airdrop, out of which only very few are real working projects.

People loss their money everywhere. It is not easy to identify or prevent scams.

I'm really shocked how people can still believe in these fairy tales.  Does anyone else believe that there is a business that is able to provide a stable 1% per day? and for a long time?  I earned in HYIPs, but I knew that sooner or later it would be a scam.

I hate to say this is the first time i invested without doing much research and lost around $250. Not much but many have lost huge money i guess. But i don't think they care about their losses.

For me, it looks like another good pozi scheme that is designed to make a long run so that it can make good and probably don't see it as a scam. But be careful. Showing the returns of 1 percent per day is too much already. I mean what users could fall on this trap. Be careful.

I've heard of Westland storage too and even applied for their airdrops / bounty sometimes ago but did not follow it. I am not aware until now that they offer such ROI services. Well from my past experience, this is risky for me and would not even try it. Trusting your money with another entity is very hard nowadays.

Im from madrid, Spain, i enter in WLS 4 month ago, and to this day he has paid every day. that is true but ponzi-type scams also pay for a while until they stop paying.

1) in WLS web you can read "come visit us at our offices" But all the offices do not exist. The one of madrid, in fact they are the offices of "El corte ingles " a great commercial center for people with money, nobody has heard of any company that works with cryptomonedas not even by the zone. When we discovered this, we contacted youtubers and twiters from various parts of the world to do us the favor, and they all found the same thing. "the offices do not exist"  We decided to speak with WLS from one of the accounts, to ask if we could visit them, and they answered that they are only for personnel. When we asked why they encouraged people to visit their offices, they told us on their website that it should be a design flaw. when we told them that we had been physically in all, one or the other, they banned the WLS account from which we were writing, alleging Contract Violation.

2)All the people that appear on the website as workers are false, all of them have names of famous people, such as television actors or baseball players. None has a past, a life, or any data prior to the creation of the website. For the google information analysis department, which is a private service, of bigdata that some companies can access by paying, and which is dedicated to tracking information for many uses, it was impossible to find information prior to the creation of the web that match these people. (and it's google staff with google tools)

3)since they are registered in uk and according to the operation of the company they use the money to acquire real estate from which they then take profits, they are bound by the law of england to declare any activity, or source of income, every 3 months. The company to date has not declared activity. that is, they registered in the register of companies indicating that they exist as a company, but for everything else, it is a company that still does not work, and has no activity.

several people have filed complaints to the department of computer crimes in our countries to investigate, as well as a complaint to the tax department of England to be investigated.

The amount of advertising encouraging you to invest and make others invest is exaggerated. in the blog that is inside the website they have commented that they have negotiated a couple of properties, important buildings. IT IS NOT TRUE. These buildings have never been for sale or have been bought by large real estate companies that know nothing about this company.


opinion: this company is a ponzi, use the money of those who enter to pay those who are already. If you put 300 dollars, they have to pay 100 people for 1 month. and so it goes adding the pyramid scheme, until they accumulate a large amount of money and close the matter.

Bitconnect is a bad experience for all of us here so if we see something similar like this we only think of Bitconnectcoin it will be alive in two or five months but after that, it will be another story because it's hard to keep with that interest rate on how the market is going right now.

the manipulation is clearly there, but if you want to see that the exchange is not a scam, you can see the volume in each altcoin moves or not, if not immediately avoid I am sure that the exchange will mislead you

On my observation the Westland Storage can be an other scam like richmendberks.com earlier came. They also doing the same tech find the customers. Here they use WLS then in richmendberks they use RBD. Lots of people lost huge amount of money in that project and some of them gain a lot. they come up with perfect money or any other currency on investment first and after they add the investment in BTC after a few months they vanished in thin air. I hope same people behind this project. otherwise let them make an public appearance. and also let them do own seminar not to encourage the inverters to do the seminars.l Actually i don't know where these guys getting the certificates. Is that easy to build a fame like this we are struggling to build own company and having lots of formalities. this scammers how they manage it or they simply fabricate the data and look at the website wow rich look and well maintained.

I don't know. if i keep richmondberks in mind i will not recommend that.

I know nobody gives anything eternally, but managing the risk well, sometimes sites appear so they can give a reasonable profit, webs that disappear after 2 or 3 years working, (scams or not), and that have given benefit to users those 2 or 3 years, for this reason and seeing that they are taking out their own altcoin, and that have little time to live, I thought that even if it was a scam, it would last several months and it could take profit.

and and for that reason, invest 100 dollars, barely 90 euros, a quantity with no effect on my economy. This was on October 11, 2018.

From the first day there are things that are rare for a company supposed to be real. The excess of advertising is alarming. If you get $180 for $10 investment I'd say that it's a fair trade. But if your $180 holding is in WLS I wouldn't bother, I don't think you can get everything out. I know WLS interests can be withdrawn but not the initial amount (what you earned by performing social tasks).

I can't say if Westland Storage is legit or not, but what I do know is that after making an investment you can withdraw funds. Just be careful about what others have also warned about - your investment is tied up for 40 days, and after that you can only withdraw 50%. I made a small investment in XRP (while that option was still available) and I've almost covered the investment with the interests I withdrew.

So, what would you recommend after six months of stability by Westland storage. I've more than 180 dollars and they ask me to deposit $10 to withdraw. Do you think it is worth it to deposit & If I do, how much I can withdraw. All the replies would be helpful

I don't know what happen to this project now, since this thread was posted in May. But I agree with you OP, 1% daily is too good to be true. Also it's not sustainable. Eventually the owner will run with the money.

Yes, it's very likely that this is also a scam. There is no real project that can guarantee a 1% return per day, and their will probable close their business sooner or later. So it's better to place your investments into more safer projects.

I have done some testing with WLS site and here I am presenting it for everyone who want to know more information about them.

Few weeks earlier I have written post here on this thread about WLS and I have invested 100EUR just for testing to see do they pay as they are saying.

Here are the stats:
Investment:
  1.   They are promising 1% daily on Your investement but over weekends only 0.5%
  2.   You are not able to withdraw Your investment at least 40 day after You invest
  3.   After 40 days You can withdraw only 50% of Your investment which means in start You can say „goodbye“ to Your 50% which You have invested
  4.   If You would like to withdraw earning, 1% daily, You need to wait until You have at least minimum earning. For example for BTC is 0.001BC.

WLS token
  5.   When You register You can do some steps to earn free WLS token
  6.   WLS token increase each day by 0.01% of total amount earned through steps after registration
  7.   WLS token You can hold until ICO is finished
  8.   WLS token You can withdraw as earning in BTC but also after You have enought for withdrawal(0.001 BTC)
  9.   You can earn more WLS if You have blog, Youtube chanel or instagram profile-there are conditions that must be meet to earn WLS.
  10.   You can earn more WLS if You make a conference and call people to it and spread word about WLS

Some facts I have tested until now:
  1.   I have asked for contract that is written on their page each customer is signed with them when registered. I never received feedback from them,
  over chat or over support(e-mail)
 
  2.   I have asked them to give me telephone number where I can contact someone to give me some answers about WLS. I could not get any telephone

  3.   I have asked for address to contact them over post because I am not receiving any information from them through e-mail, chat or telephone. I

  4.   I have asked managers over chat to give me feedback when can I get any response to my questions. I never received any response from that

Withdrawal

From all informations You have seen, it seems like SCAM. I have invested 100EUR for testing just to confirm is it true what they says on the page.
Because I am not able to withdraw all my investment I have decided to leave it running and withdraw profit each time I have chance just to be sure that I do not loose earning which I have received each day.

For now I have withdrawn over 70% of my investment and I hope it will reach 100% just to return all what I have invested.

Tbh, most so called "passive income" are ponzi scheme. You simply can't just invest your money, waiting other to return some profit for you, things don't come for free.

If you are already doing research on the project unless it is still unsure, then leave it. there are still many projects with clear concepts and prospects. usually projects with large investments are fraudulent. Good luck.

there is one thing I've learned from an economics teacher, do not be lulled by big profits  until now there is no business that can survive with such a business scheme, which is a problem today there are still many new people who like the type of bad investment, and they bring a lot of people to fall,

For me it looks obvious ponzi scheme as no one can pay fixed daily profit in a legit and real business so be careful, for hyip lovers this may look likea mid term program but i think serious investors should stay away from such ponzi schemes and should discourage them in every way possible.

I'm using an social media application called Sola, and I saw an advertisement for this in it this morning. "Get daily 1% lifelong" instantly brought BitConnect in my mind...

Apparently, a new project named Westland Storage offers a 1% daily return of investment during the working days and 0.5% daily returns during the weekends.
If I am not mistaken and my math still works, they guarantee a 1300% ROI in one year: =1,005^125+1,01^(365-125). Similar calculations drove people to invest in BitConnect as they saw a possibility to make easy and quick money. Here is an old review about BitConnect, that was exposed before it collapsed and was marked as a scam! So this to me sounds pretty much like BitConnect, just another scammy project that promises quick earnings, which definitely raises the guard just by thinking of it as a possibility. Probably many can occur, that there are no shortcuts.

I've done some research and found out that they were reviewed by bitcoinexchangeguide.com, from which they got a positive review. My guess is that they paid for it, but who knows.
